MPD Officer in Charge - Opening

The MPD has an opening for the role of Officer in Charge (1IC).

This position/role is ideally targeted to mid-senior members of the Officer group ( CPT+ ) however any outstanding candidates will be considered.

This leader role has multiple responsibilities including but not limited to:
  • Determining MP staffing levels
  • Recruitment and training of new MPD members
  • Maintenance of training materials for server administration
  • Routine conduct of training for qualified members before obtaining server/game admin rights
  • Oversight of admin activity, identifying issues, and notifying the appropriate party of abuse/misuse where it may occur.

N.B. - When I say any outstanding candidate will be considered, I mean that. If you are a Sergeant and can both articulate and demonstrate how you are the most impactful selection for the role, well then the 1IC will be a Sergeant.

N.B.(2). In that event, you may be required to both take, and pass within 6 months an officer development course with a high score.

The S3 Department has an opening for an additional command staff position.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Be in good standing with no active negative actions
  • Be at the minimum rank of:
    • Second Lieutenant (O-1) for Officers
    • Chief Warrant Officer 2 (W-2) for Warrant Officers
    • Sergeant (E-5) for Non-Commissioned Officers
  • Letter of Interest from applicant to COS Burgundy.C and 1LT Wildfire.N for review
  • Prepared to serve in the position for at least 6 months or longer
  • Leadership experience within S3 is preferred, but not required
Expectations:



  • Help maintain departmental accountability: Ensure that minimum expectations are being met by staff, missions are being developed, quality is maintained, and that staff deficiencies are filled.
  • Enforce all departmental standards and regulations.
  • Help keep the Wiki up to date for the entire department
  • Track and award medals for the department
  • Perform other duties as required
