S5 2IC Position Opening

The S5 Department has an opening for the S5 2IC position.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be in good standing with no active negative actions
  • Be at the minimum rank of:
    • Second Lieutenant (O-1) for Officers
    • Warrant Officer 1 (W-1) for Warrant Officers
    • Corporal (E-4) for Non-Commissioned Officers
  • Letter of Interest from applicant to First Lieutenant Hobbs.T, Captain Ratcliff.M and Major General Baeder.S for review
  • Leadership experience within S5 is preferred, but not required
Expectations:

  • Read and respond to PMs from the S5 department Comms
  • Provide monthly S5 departments report for CSC meeting
  • Ensure all members of S5 have the correct access to all resources required to allow them to fulfill their job requirements
  • Read and respond to external clans that try and reach the 7th Cavalry on our forums
  • Track department staffing and advise on staffing levels
  • Be ready to talk with external clan members on Teamspeak
  • Personnel Accountability - Work with S5 HHQ to Monitor transfers, LOA's (incl ELOA), AWOLs, PAF Logs, and Discharges for changes to Departmental strength.
  • Ensure the ASFM tracker is up to date.
  • Verbally Counsel Staff Leads/AO Leads as required to ensure adherence to rules/regulations/policies/codes.
  • Ensure disciplinary documentation is reviewed and sentenced where appropriate.

No member of the 7th Cavalry is obligated to donate time or money to the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment or ANY of its members. You should never feel pressured or feel like it is your obligation to donate money to another member of the Regiment, regardless of the circumstance.

I have been a part of this organization for almost 13 years. We have always operated from donations made to the Server fund. From time to time, I or another member of the General Staff will post that there is a member in need of financial aide. The members of this organization are extremely generous and have always raised the necessary funds, be it for the servers or a member in need. It is for this reason that the General Staff closely guards members of the Regiment from solicitation. We do not allow just anyone to post for aide, and ask members for money, we attempt to vet and verify every request to insure its legitimacy.

It is the guidance of the General Staff that you never donate directly to an individual in the Cav. General Order 10 states:

Requests for aid will not be made without Regimental Commander, or Regimental Executive Officer approval.

Posts requesting aid will not be made without Regimental Commander, or Regimental Executive Officer approval.

For clarification, if you approach another Cav member, tell them you have a problem and need money to solve it, you have violated this General Order. If you find yourself in this situation, your first communication should be to a member of the General Staff. Any Supervisor that is approached by a trooper in this manner is to direct them to the General Staff. Do not, I repeat, Do not setup a Go Fund Me, or any other crowd funding device. Do not make an announcement to your subordinates that a trooper needs help. Direct them to a member of the General Staff.
