Pros:
  • Mission got a bit more spicy than expected. Took a reinsert group into LZ Boonies, on recommended approach from Misfit-5, and took effective HMG fire, took engine and instrument damage but was able to land and drop troops successfully; only con was losing my Crew Chief to a .50 round to the chest.
  • Hot LZ extract, but had to deal with progressively worsening damage due to no repair vehicle at MOB Cooper.
Cons:
  • Lag due to changing weather in spurts.
  • No repair/rearm/refuel assets available.

Pros
  • Squad movement was on point tonight. Executed a rush under fire to bypass a potential minefield.
  • Squad kept momentum despite a couple of black tags.
  • An appropriate ied drone, while unfortunate that hit us, we did hear it but failed to respond to it.
  • Teams were flexibile with movement and taking objectives.

Cons
  • Movement was messy off the LZ. Felt like squads were all over the place and order of march was ignored.
  • Some kind of weird issue since the latest ACRE/Teamspeak updates; and lots of battelye kicks consistently throughout the operation.

Pros:
  • ATLAS-2 spot rep of enemy BTR coming down the northwest road warning forward element of armor QRF
  • Some ATLAS member got plenty of medical work
  • Helicopter extract was smooth
  • Good response to suspected minefield, turned out to be demining drone, mass causality event. Spacing and movement were on point keeping in mind of going into a blind situation.
  • Good work with chain of command in ATLAS due to disconnects
  • Good use of using micro terrain
Cons:
  • Server instability
  • Intermittent ACRE issues
  • Communication all over the place due to disconnects
  • Night time raid was done during day
  • General frustration

Pros
  • Brilliant actions by M1, M2, M3, and M4 to push OBJ 2 around the surprise minefield after M6 disconnect.
  • All Buffalo flights: Stellar Job despite me "Learning on the Job" as 5, calm and professional Comms as always!
  • Excellent response time and Doc Sawbones work by all Atlas teams!
  • My first time as 5 went better than I expected! I got to do a little bit of all the things and had an absolute blast!
  • Contact level felt appropriate given nearly a full platoon turnout!

Cons
  • Surprise minefield: Mines were not mentioned in OPORD. Same with Suicide drones.
  • Near/Rear security on M4 initial SBF position was lax...I killed/called out 4-5 close enemy contacts.
  • ACRE/Teamspeak crashes were.....sub-optimal. I DC'd 4 times.

Pros:
  • Good map and mission concept
  • Buffalos stayed busy with re-insert taskings
  • Flight flexibility, meaning at one point we collapsed down to 2 birds from 4, and then expanded back out to 3 again as the mission needed
  • MISFIT succession of command. At one point both 5 and 6 were out of action and MISFIT 2 stepped up and took over radio communication on 09 until 5 was able to come back
Cons:
  • Helicopter got ARMA'd while stationary and on the ground at LZ. Not really a mission maker thing. Might have been caused by all the connection issues people were having
  • No repair/rearm/refuel assets available

Pros:
  • Atlas was very quick when given coordinates to casualties
  • Delegation of leadership once disconnects started happening
  • Communication between 7 & both atlas teams was fluid
  • quick establishment of CCP
  • Under heavy fire Buffalo reinserts and extracts were phenomenal
  • Callouts were clear and concise
  • HVT Was killed.
  • great concept and very immersive
  • A LOT of Medical work was to be had
Cons:
  • High volume of player disconnecting and reconnecting
  • Had 1 friendly captured
  • Prepped for night operation when it was still light out for the entire operation
  • Radio Comms kept glitching
  • Enemy drones were added without the knowledge of it resulting in Mass Casualties
  • frame rates would drop drastically

  • Good cohesion within the squad

  • Lack of contacts and M4 was used more as a rear guard than a weapons squad

Pros:
  • Solid amount of medical work for Atlas-1.
  • CCPs were utilized effectively.
  • Casualties that were not expectant were all saved (unfortunately, we did receive some expectants that we couldn't bring back...)
  • The chain of command was highlighted tonight, with communication maintained even after losing -7, 1IC, and 2IC to DC.
  • Lots of surgical work!
Cons:
  • Mass amounts of disconnects tonight due to a variety of issues.
  • Conducting a series of raids that included movement across vast swaths of open terrain during the day. OP was briefed to begin at dusk (1930 local per OPORD); however, the OP was conducted 1-2 hours earlier. This led to all the IR and NODs we brought being useless and to an (IMO) less immersive experience.
  • It was noted that the liberal use of smoke effects (smoke columns) was a likely source of low frames in OBJ 1. Perhaps have those fires "burn out" once BLUFOR reaches the compound perimeter?

Pros:

  • Good practice before JTAC/TACP evaluation!
  • Great communication and great responsive flying from HOG-1 (Warrant Officer 1 Villmarsson.L), recommended MISFIT-6 to write up a commendation for the pilot
  • Good effect on targets with guns and bombs - targets destroyed when they were threat to friendlies or overwhelming them in contact, did not seem take away from infantry engagements
  • Excellent idea to use drone-borne IEDs! Troops ignored the drones and suffered for this. Thankfully HOG-1 managed to destroy one of the next drones while it was on the ground and then these attacks ceased.
  • No friendly casualties from runs despite some Danger Close / Troops In Contact hasty calls
  • Being able to tell MISFIT HQ twice that they're late with requests for fire on enemy vehicles, as I was already clearing HOG-1 hot, or HOG-1 has already dropped the pickle, was a definite vibe!

  • Cheers to ZEUS for providing small flanking elements to straggling / stuck friendlies, greatly reinforced the need for security ("What are you firing at?! Oh..." - keep your rifles up boys!)
Cons:
  • Between sporadic and flanking contact, as well as the necessity to maintain elevation to observe, was unable to move efficiently with infantry elements. When forced to push I have not always been able to maintain full situational awareness.
  • Got bogged down with other troops in the marked minefield I've warned 5/6 against - despite this warning repeated twice on radio AND marks on the map, units still kept pushing through the field, rushing to join the fight and getting ATLAS even more bogged down. Saw Sergeant Narramoor.A despite buddy care from First Lieutenant Mackey.A, because ATLAS simply couldn't get there in time due to the self-inflicted casualties of some squads.
  • Server was very unstable, got several crashes to desktop / black screens, as well as kicks for ridiculous signature mismatches (C130, etc), despite having repaired all mods after previous kick/crash.
  • Sporadically classic ARMA bs like scopes, designator batteries, etc., vanishing from loadout after helicopter dismount.

Pros
  • Well executed and aggressive attack on first objective compound.
  • A continuation of well thought out and designed counter insurgency campaign.
  • Highly immersive environment.
  • Tactical clearing and movement through occupied buildings.
  • Spot on movement formations.
  • Good response from ATLAS.
  • Amalgamation of MISFIT-1 and MISFIT-3 allowed us to stay combat effective.
Cons
  • Many crashes and disconnects throughout the operation, across the entirety. This led to a complete loss of momentum and troopers that had crashed multiple times giving up. Good work in continuing the fight and movement by all members in the operation.
  • A de-mining drone added to the difficulty of remaining effective by wiping our 9-man squad. We have tested the drones in an SP environment and as of time now they are highly over powered. Despite good squad spacing the damage model is enough to reach a 30m area. If being utilised a minor pre-warning in OPORD or brief would be advisable. The sound module is also not brilliant meaning the only real audio is the explosive being dropped.
  • After being stagnated due to drone MASCAS we then had the chopper with all our squad reinserts be ARMA'd and all members apart from one go black. Troopers waited again for another reinsert and this removed a large portion game time. This mixed with the crashes, and drone, was a unwelcome experience.

Pros:
  • Great mission. Great OPORD. Nice and detailed. Tons of fun (until the discon party started).
  • Good Alpha Co. Teamwork, flexing to circumstances and taking initiative when necessary to accomplish our support mission.
  • Comms/coordination with MISFIT-5 were excellent and he did an extremely good job. When he was unavailable, succession worked out good because others stepped up. Very well done.
Cons:
  • Inexplicable rollover crashes: At least twice tonight, two Blackhawks inexplicably rolled over and were post-impact destroyed after making near-perfect landings. Nobody is really understanding why this happened because it doesn't make any sense. I would normally default to saying it's an "Arma" thing or we got "ARMA'd" but that doesn't seem to be the case, because this was an anomaly that I have not seen before like this. Just a random rollover... never really happens. So must be something to this, perhaps with the map or mission file or something, but landing on very slightly sloped surfaces did not go well and resulted in destroyed birds and injured troopers and CSARs. These kinds of incidents can be caused by someone, including infantry in the back, improperly deploying our hoist system, however, those issues always occur when the bird is in forward flight, not at a stable, pre-landing hover and certainly not in a post landing standby on the ground. This was extremely weird.
  • Disconnects en masse really sucked horribly and it was frustrating for everybody. I don't think I've ever seen that many DISCON issues trend like that before. It got to the point where you just expected the next DISCON(s). This effectively killed a lot of the rhythm of the operation.
