Please review the WAG R&P page for more about the expectations of the role.

Prerequisites:

The Wiki Administration Group (WAG) is looking for a new First in Charge (1IC) to head up the upkeep and maintenance of the Regiment's Wiki.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assign tickets to Wiki Editors as they come in on the ticket system;
  2. Edit wiki articles either when requested (ticket system), or take on your own projects (keeping IMO informed) to better the Wiki, or if mistakes are found;
  3. Delete pages on request;
  4. Advise the Commander IMO and Commander 7th Cavalry Regiment of Wiki capabilities and limitations; and
  5. Produce policies and procedures about WAG when required.

WAG is a very small department, simply due to ticket volume being comparatively low. This means you could be expected to share the workload of the tickets between yourself and the editors. But let's not kid ourselves, editing a wiki is extremely simple, however, you need to come in with baseline knowledge. This is a department head position, and as such it requires a high level of maturity, commitment, self-driven initiative and professionalism.

Qualifications and Pre-Requisites
  1. Must have used MediaWiki or similar software previously;
  2. Minimum rank of SGT for Enlisted, 2LT for Officers (as per 7CAV-R-005, Chapter 4, Section 3, Table 1);
  3. Keen attention to detail;
  4. Proficient in writing in English, especially in the tone of a wiki article (Past...
