1st Platoon, Bravo Company is accepting applications for a Squad Leader position for Bravo Section, 1st Platoon, Bravo Company (C/1/B/2-7 ). Everyone interested, regardless of meeting all formal requirements, is encouraged to apply.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be in good standing with no active negative actions
  • Maintained the MOS for 30 days
  • Maintained the MOS billet of ASL for a minimum of 30 days prior to selection or submit an application as a Trooper
  • Be at the minimum rank of Corporal or higher prior to selection
  • Submit an application upon position opening and following the application process unless company/platoon staff select an ASL to fill the role
Waivers on requirements available per 2BN HQ. Submit an application upon position opening and follow the application process unless company/platoon staff select an ASL to fill the role. Candidates will be reviewed by Staff.

Expectations

Daily Duties

  • Take Care of Troopers - When on Discord or Teamspeak be available for your troopers. Be prompt when responding to requests for assistance over Discord, Teamspeak, or the forums. Spend time with the troopers in your section.
  • Make an effort to meet with members of the Section to build a rapport and ensure a positive working relationship with them.
  • Spend time with the leadership within the Platoon/Company/Battalion.
  • Ensure information is passed up and down the Chain of Command in a timely manner.
Weekly Duties

  • Accountability - Ensure you are attending and leading your Section practice each week
  • Section Practice - Ensure the weekly practice that you led was in line with the Monthly Training Plan (MTP).
  • Counseling - Provide guidance and counseling to the Section members as required

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of one of our own, Corporal Miller.DC from 4/1/C/1-7, on October 04, 2023. On behalf of the entire Regiment, General Staff extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and all those who knew him. He will be honored and remembered by the Cav through our Arlington Memorial Cemetery. Rest in peace, brother!
