Pros:
  • Mostly clear command comms, cluttered pings at times
  • We did pretty good on the attack to the middle point.
Cons:
  • Did not do well as tankers
  • Asked for infantry support a few times, received it a couple of times but but other times we did not have any.
  • We needed a full reset for the 4th point to restart our attack

Cons:
  • Mortain is a difficult map on which to tank; short sighlines and hedges everywhere
  • Enemy satchels were on point

Pros:
  • Well advertised Operation, Had good combined arms operations at points
  • Helped infantry move into deep locations to build garrisons
  • offense on the axis was solid and well cordinated
Cons:
  • Staying still in tanks means getting satcheled, Learned that the hard way
  • Once we lost multiple tanks, we were low on fuel and were drip feeding heavies to be killed instantly

Pros:
  • Good defensive play, the squad played defensively for the majority of the match.
  • The operation was enjoyed by all the troopers.

Cons:
  • We need to work on squad cohesion, i.e., not be so spread out.
  • Need to work on squad pings and callouts.

PROS:
-It is always a pleasure to play with these 'gentlemen warriors'. We worked extremely well together we were able to get in the backfield and cause issues for the enemy team.
-Comms were out of this world, as a squad leader having constant communication is so important on a map like this and these guys rose to that occasion.
-Overall, these gentlemen are amongst the best in the 7th Cav and it truly is honor that they place their trust in me to lead them.

CONS:
Nothing other than toward the end where our team seemed to fall apart but overall the guys loved this operation.

Pros:

  • SLs stepped up in the beginning communicated their ZOC very well
  • Good call outs/markings for the most part
  • Outstanding in squad comms and gunplay
  • Very impressed at the coordination in game at the start with very little prep
  • Enjoyed the historical aspect of the Op
Cons:

  • Enemy was able to see all our movements at the start
  • Command comms towards the end was chaotic at times imo.

Pros:
  • Love historical operations, thank you S3.
  • Strong fights and gunplay from both factions, saw lots of good buddy play and use of local comms with other units.
  • Command comms were solid and effective 80% of the time with our minimal battle plan.
Cons:
  • Don't believe we made the most of our allocated single artillery gun, we were able to utilize for 45 minutes throughout phase II. Believe that could have helped clear out a few enemy infantry hotspots that were know, marked, and communicated in AXIS command comms.
  • Could have done better personally helping our tank sections. Foliage helped enemy AT/Satchel troopers approach and destroy, they got two of our friendly heavies in like 1 minute, which really put us on the back foot in the assault and in our fuel command point situation.

Pros:
  • Great advertisement for a historical op (movies and posters)
  • Everyone was great fun to communicate with
  • Great job with arty calls. Not many kills but they were critical kills
  • 8 SL kills!
  • Much less TK's on my end. I feel like I am improving
  • Incredible balance on teams. Hard fought until the end.
Cons:
  • None other than this: 7th Cavalry Operations are Official Settings, which means firing in spawn, throwing grenades, etc. while waiting for map flip is not professional. I was nearly TK'ed before match start no less than 4 times.

Pros:
  • Great callouts of enemies
  • Good idea for overall op
  • Excellent squad flexibility on responses to enemy movements
Cons:
  • Overwhelming in game comms at times
  • Disorganized start. Felt like no real plan. Became better about 1/2 way through

Specialist Knowles.J

Private Boettger.R

Pros:
  • Initial action of the operation went off well - the point was quickly enveloped
  • Troopers had northern and eastern envelopment on the second objective in quick and efficient fashion
  • Troopers within the element reacted quickly to requests and implemented attack actions using good coverage and movement through the operation
  • Troopers fell back instantly when requested well prior to the total war scenario
  • scenario objectives were fine, artillery didnt feel abusive.
Cons:
  • Garrison placements were lackluster - placements needed to be updated into supportive fashion prior to the total war scenario and updated to support the rally attack that was required on 2nd objective
  • Tanks seemed very suicidal in some instances, a concerted supportive push with infantry flanks was not setup or conducted
  • Command comms were a bit much at the start and a request for comms to clean up was requested just to communicate pertinent information to the rest of the squads or within squad sections
  • axis command did not utilize artillery sufficiently
