  • CHANCE

PROS:
  • Never in my entire career in the Cav have I ever needed to beg, borrow, and or steal ammo from squads or dead bodies to resupply my guys, we were out of ammo or red on ammo most of the time and it brought a realistic and entertaining environment tonight.
  • Squad had a TON of FUN tonight, probably one of the best WFW in a long time from the guys.
  • Contact was HIGH and so was MORALE after this mission.
  • CLS actually did CLS things! They were busy treating our wounded and aiding ATLAS when able too.
  • Krupa.W was johnny on the spot tonight with the LAT taking out the total of 7 vehicles between air targets and boats
  • BANDIT-4 was amazing tonight on the mortars! Always on target always 100/100 for BDA
CONS:
  • No CONS

Pros:
  • Love the mission design (wish I was the ground for it).
  • Challenging, pro it was difficult with in the tree cover with multiple ZUs/Con it felt like the wrong airframe multiple times because of armament limitations and getting engaged with no way of knowing where they were until tracers were either hitting the bird or near it.
  • Fun mission, seemed like plenty for all parties to do.
  • FARP in place was amazing for quick returns to AO.
Cons:
  • Aviation needs to work better at setting up HA's to relay info, or alternatively adjust the terrain coefficient needs looked at on the server settings.
  • Enemy vehicles taken over multiple times in the OP without being called up to aviation. (2) jeeps, (1) HMMWV, and APC. Unknown if Cav member or public. If it has to be done it needs to be called up.

Pros:
  • Enjoyed the team as always!
  • Fireteams report good comms internally.
  • Good level of contact.
  • Walker stepped up and took the ATL role when Wilson went down!
Cons:
  • Platoon felt a little chaotic.
  • Black tags.
  • End defense may have been a little long.
Squad Cons:
  • Succession was slow at times.
  • Questionable squad movements and decision to assault FOB over the wall.

Pros
  • Very fun & immersive operation, severe pucker factor. Great job from the mission maker(s) for providing exciting contact from various patrols to QRF and red air.
  • Excellent managing of the chaos of battle by 6, managing multiple nets, etc.
  • Elements individually dealt with contact well and were very flexible
  • Awesome work from the mortars
  • Lots of medical work
  • Huge turnout, we had all the bodies and all the elements
  • I like the idea of an OP soundtrack. I wonder if there's a better way of implementing this, I.e. a TeamSpeak bot or a Discord Bot.
  • Great job from Buffalo Flight working internally.
  • I personally like the utilisation of Sparrow as an airframe.
Cons
  • I hastily placed a bad LZ assuming a location was clear, only to have a QRF cross the bridge and end me rightly. This bad choice put Buffalo flight and a handful of troopers in unnecessary danger.
  • I was caught in the backlines running resupply for a fast moving platoon
  • Several factors contributed to a communications breakdown with Buffalo that could be mitigated in future:
    • Base was out of radio range (10km), I utilised cTab messaging as per PACE but wasn't sure on whether something was received.
    • Resupply boxes were not able to be filled out until Zeus intervened. I think a more lenient arsenal, or giving the Buffalo flight lead access to Zeus to be able to manage their own resupplies.
Notes
Probably worth having some talks about the best implementation of mortars, whether it's individual squads calling for fire or if all requests are pushed to 5. I was explicitly asked to manage fire missions in brief. I initially opened up a CFF net for it, but ceded it after people utilised the platoon net for fires.
Personally, I believe squads should provide SAL reports on Platoon Net, and 5 can convert that into a fire mission with bearing and direction from the mortar team's position. This allows for fires to be deconflicted.

Belows is a record of what was requested for resupply
70 x 30rnd 5.56 STANAGs
30 x 100rnd 5.56 Softpacks
6 x M136 AT-4 (HEDP)
20 x M67 Frag Grenades
40 x 40mm HEDP
30 x Etomidate
20 x Lidocaine
10 x Lorazepam
10 x Flumazenil
100 x Packing Bandages
100 x Quikclots
20 x [CSW] M768 Charge 0,
20 x [CSW] M768 Charge 1

PROS:
  1. After Lz landing, work started.
  2. Multiple Surgeries.
  3. CLS has good pass-downs and triage.
  4. Work for the whole OP.
  5. Comms between the squad were good
  6. Enemy combatants were well-placed and persistent attacks.
CONS

  1. One member had an issue with perms.
  2. Supply was late, and missing items/Surgeries
  3. 2x Black Casualties(not by Atlas)
  4. Sometimes radio had issues.

Pros
  • This was an incredibly enjoyable OP to lead, being put on the back foot and working through it multiple times due to enemy position or maneuver.
  • There was excellent flexibility from squads tonight, from -1 and --2's hasty L-shaped assault in the woods to -3 and -4 executing a hasty assault on the checkpoint; the squad-level leadership and initiative were top-tier tonight.
  • The input and subsequent decision to implement mortars was an excellent call, and they were used to great effect tonight.
  • Personally, I found having to manage sub-optimal factors such as CAS and resupply limitations and the hot-lz enjoyable; it led to a particularly infantry-tactics-centered night.
  • Considering the low Atlas turnout (conn), the medics we had performed admirably. We had a roughly 8:1 ratio of infantry to medics tonight, and considering we only had a handful of black tags despite the contact and arma-isms, it was impressive.
  • The turnout tonight was awesome! Per Godfather, we achieved 60 people in the game at one point, which is amazing for a WFW.
Cons
  • Only half of the present VIPs were retained, with 1x casualty on the X and 1x casualty expiring en route to the FOB.
  • The lack of medical personnel was a limitation tonight, leading to expanded treatment times and the inability to allocate medics to triage the VIPs and stabilize them.
  • We failed to retain at least 2x EPWs; both expired on the X.
  • Sub-optimal radio comms when I pushed to the G2A net to call Buffalo for the VIP evac. I should have taken the extra few seconds to format the call before I commenced the traffic.

Pros:
  • Plenty of tasking, very little downtime between re-inserts/resupply runs.
  • Yellow/Red LZs were very exciting with door gunners blazing and infantry covering, although losses are unsurprising in these LZs.
Cons:
  • Lead element suffered IRL powercuts, but BUFFALO-2 took lead and tried to keep flow of inserts/supplies going, working with AO outside of Radio range from the MOB.
  • Large disruption caused by specific resupply request/large shopping list of items that we are not able to acquire, in future all items could be pre-placed in boxes ready to be directly shipped out when needed.
