Pros:
  • High Attendance.
  • Hearts and Minds was a good choice with this type of operation.
  • Different MCC's ran and players enjoyed the rotation of mission controllers.
Cons:
  • Server issues causing it to be delayed by 1 hour.
  • Things got stale eventually by the 9+ hour mark when everyone got tired.
If your name is missing from the attendance list, please send a PM to the OIC.

~20 Hours
Pros:
-Great attendance the entire 24 hours.
-I had insane ammount of fun.
-Great professionalism from all elements during the entire operation.
-All out war against UN and the US president (Yes, that actually happened) due to one person comitting a series of war crimes. (Fun bullshittery)

Cons:
-Sloppy start due to some mission file problems.
-Lack of ACE pharmacy was missed, but not too much.
-All out war against UN and the US president (Yes, that actually happened) due to one person comitting a series of war crimes. (Still it's a little bit out of place.)
-Things got a little stale after 10+ hours mark. Missions got a little repetitive.
-Sometimes there's been way too much comms on the Long Range.
-Some odd issues with ACE or DUI grouping. Kept losing color of the group I was assigned of.
-Not so obvious and ridiculous ammount of IED's.

Pros:
-Great attendance within Gun 3, averaged 9+ troopers at any given moment and at one point we did a mission with 19 troopers (super WWII vibes)
-Had troopers Stalwart in the efforts of driving strikers for the first quarter+ of the OP even when asked if they want to be infantry
-The mission file was a nice take on H&M, the idea of the armory was enjoyable
-Touched on every Company specialty except Airborne
-I believe everyone in my squad had fun
-We had engagements where we actually used CAS and Arty to supplement our firepower, Specifically in those mountains
-Night time is Dark on Lythium, NVGs barely see. However we used Flares to supplement, GL, Mortars, 105. and successfully conducted night time raids
-Food and water is now mandatory for every 24 hour op from here on out. maybe drink once every hour, eat every 3hr

Cons:
-no readily available night gear such as chem-lights or thrown strobes
-I personally feel we did not use the Buffalo/Bison element enough for air assault
-Make sure we have units on the right radio channels, we had elements and assets not on the right channels so we (G3) were unable to call in things like saber or Buffalo when they were adjacent.
-The enemy had an OD amount of Mortars for an insurgency, didnt mind SOME IDF, but it felt like at minimal once, every time we went outside the wire
-Leadership we failed to make ORPs/Gold Black Plans/ General Fallbacks, INCASE of things like regroup or IDF to fall back to
-We never got a full 4 squad platoon with a weapons squad
-Work on our security, we had gotten to minor rally points and security went and faced inwards. we had enemies running within our lines/enemies setting up a DShK 100 meters away in a open field.
-We did not give enough time to plan out, good planning usually takes an hour at least (ie. Routes should have way points/Rallys/CCPs/HLZs for reinserts. Air Assault we need multiple HLZs Proper Aircraft number or size to handle the amounts of people)
-Did not give enough time to properly load-up some of the vehicles that we take out
-Night operational discipline, watch the laser pointers and strobes.
-We kept splitting the Squads while in a platoon, we keep using squads like individual platoons. We should be using those squads like they are fire teams. Perhaps we should re-evaluate our standard PL advance with lanes into a more Penetrating assault into urban environments/Platoon assault outside of MOUT
-Although I personally Liked the armory, it proved better to just have an arsenal, even if its limited (with every category), supplemented with boxes that have things like MREs and Radios.

Pros:
-Overall outstanding attendance from all elements and great call ins for support and positioning
-The mission file was a nice take on the H&M, the idea of the armory was enjoyable especially for its usage
-Coordination of elements was well put through and allowed for great flexibility of assets on the battlefield
-Great Attendance on all accounts. 20+ Players throughout the night
-SABER-1 had a fan-TASTIC time running with VIKING elements and actually having a Scouting force to find targets and safe routes for SABER-1 to move upon. Great coordination.
-Good usage of assets and proper engagements to reduce collateral damage and civilian casualties
-SABER-1 was able to operate unabated with good supply lines and no tanks were lost to enemy fire throughout the entirety of the operation. No casualties as well.
-Terrain offered good sight picture across the board. Some hills, while tough to scale, offered excellent view.

Cons:
-Sloppy start due to some mission file problems.
-Once the mission file became predictable, focus was soon lost.
-We did not give enough time to plan out, good planning usually takes an hour at least (ie. Routes should have way points/Rallys/CCPs/HLZs for reinserts. Air Assault we need multiple HLZs Proper Aircraft number or size to handle the amounts of people)
-SABER-1 was sometimes under direct assault without any support or backup from GUNSLINGER elements which had maneuvered away from SABER.
-Limited arsenal limited much needed supplies for Tank Crewmembers
-Things got a little stale after 10+ hours mark. Missions got a little repetitive. So MCC's began being thrown about.
-Sometimes there's been way too much comms on the Long Range. Needed to be taken down a peg and at one point had my radio off.
-The use of the food concept, while a cool and applaudable feature, was nice, it did hamper some parts of the mission. Going unconcious when hungry really made you go on edge.
-Lack of an ATLAS presence made keeping SABER-1 in the fight a bit of a hassle.

Pros:
  • Great comms with Gun 3 and most ground elements
  • The mission file was fun once the bugs were worked out, in the meantime we found ways to stay entertained.
  • Everyone we spoke with/interacted with was having fun
  • Enjoyed using CAS to support ground elements, especially in the mountains due to limited mobility for ground elements.
  • HH60s cameras help immensely to ID FoF, gather intel to pass to ground elements, request perms to immediately engage hostile elements
  • Food and water started out being a little too demanding but seemed to ease off (or maybe we got used to it?) eventually found a sweet spot that was ok.
Cons:
  • Downside of food and water is pilots flying suddenly lose consciousness with no warning when low on food or drink. (not ideal as if it happens when pilot is alone/busy or aircraft in a critical position could cause a very bad accident) could use some additional warning when low on food or drink.
  • Missing mission critical gear in loadouts off the hop, we had time to get it together but it took a few trips to get it done.
  • Seems to be confusion over which channels certain elements need to be on when they want to contact others. If too many for 1 person have a designate in squad to relay info to support elements as needed.
  • The enemy seemed to have excessive mortars for an insurgency. Both number of tubes and ammo.
  • Air Assault need appropriate number and/or size of aircraft to handle people. Tough to determine without knowing an accurate count of who is coming beforehand
  • With regard to time spent loading up aircraft/vehicles would be better if we could settle on standard loadouts as we have for CC/ Pilots/ Troopers?
  • Having an armory is great in theory, but seems more practical to have an arsenal. If people use things they shouldn't that's on them.
