Pros:
  • Really good comms with tank coordinating with all units during the battle
  • Fun to play with close quarters combat with infantry escort. That field theory/ tactic fell flat in final phase. (Last ten minutes had proved to work with squads acting individually but as a typical HLL match)
  • Restricted tank was interesting for most of the operation, (physically hurt not having a Main Cannon)
  • Would like to see a C co B co joint FTX wanna see some close relations between Bravo Infantry and Charlie Tankers (see how we do in combat together and improve on weaknesses)
Cons:
  • At times the tank felt restricted on its freedom of movement, needing to support friendlies is a must in stronghold areas.
  • Rulesets for area restriction of forces seemed confused or confusing at times throughout the operation.
  • AT Guns should have been built and placed before allied forces moved through sectors that were already "cleared" rules are vague on this AT gun placement as well. (phase 2 sector was clear then AT gun was built and killed tank)
  • Phase 2 spent 15 - 20 minutes wasting time sitting in a stalemate seeking out AT gun which wasn't built until after sector was cleared out, leading to another ruleset misunderstanding and more grey area confusions.
Suggestion: Phase 4 should have been restricted like the previous phases, may have had better quality ending to operation win or lose.

Pros:

  • Troopers were enthusiastic through entire operation
  • Communications were fantastic! squad comms were great Command Comms were smooth, short and simple for each squad to understand!
  • each squad was able to take command of each situation and not only move their own troopers to the designated AO but as well as spread their infantry to help with assisting other squads
  • would do again 10/10 (wanna be inf again tho)
  • Buddy movements were used to a T! was so impressive to see these guys using all the knowledge from their SPs during this Operation!

Cons:

  • Shooting during setup, Recon and inf squads (enemy) were beginning to shoot those who were visible to them
  • not pinging tank enough to help develop the battlefield. (mostly my personal fault, should have been putting more marks up for my squad)
  • too many markers? it felt like a lot of markers were left either after tank moved or when it was blown up and was confusing to not only myself but some others as well (fix: each phase take 2 mins after placing an OP or whatever to remove old marks to keep map organized and the battlefield developed)

last thing! make sure to give some chest candy! tons of these guys have earned it today!

Pros:
  • Good time had by almost all
  • Great coordination from Axis leadership
  • Good flow for OP
Cons:
  • Opord a bit unclear in a few specifics
  • Final Phase was arguably too tough for Allies

Pros:
  • The scenario was a lot of fun, very interesting.
  • Good communication,
  • I had a very effective sniper.
Cons:
  • AO was a little confusing but once it was opened up, it made a lot more avenues of approach possible.

Pros:
  • Really good comms within the squad
  • Really high intensity game play
Cons:
  • Command comms were very busy and hard to understand
  • It was a little confusing for squads not in B co, no clear directions were given as to our role

Pros:
  • Good comunication overall
  • Good tactical positioning of squads
  • Good learning experience ( balance was good)

Cons:
  • Sometimes we were pushed by Axis w/o support
  • More squads should have played off the tank as main objective, moving together with it
  • More usage of smokes is needed

Pros:
  • Great communication across the board, squad, local, and command chat
  • I'd love to do it again with swapped sides
  • This was my first time as an SL for an FTX/operation. Great first experience!
  • Handicaps on axis were appropriate, given everyone was targeting one tank. However..... (see cons)

Cons:
  • Allowing AT anywhere but no mines would be great for the next one. The mines made the last phase realistically impossible.
  • Opord had some gray areas that both teams took advantage of. No explosives on the axis, unless there is a half track (which wasn't in the opord)

Pros:

  • Troopers were communicative and responded to rotations to remove flank lanes efficiently and quickly to eliminate ally flanks/forcing them to go deeper grids
  • Command comms were relatively efficient and required relays of information were achieved
  • operation concept is interesting and should be attempted again
  • Ally movements were good while on flanking routes and attempted gains on the south of the map

Cons:

  • some confusion on our end about having to defend objectives on the map and the lanes the tank was required to take/both
  • concept should be attempted again with a tank column if numbers inflate to several platoons worth of infantry on both sides - might make for a more desperate defense for the axis and let the tanks churn some ammo

Pros: Excellent communication between my sniper and myself; As Infantry squads came in contact with us, I was in good communication with their troops and squad leader; Other squads moved and communicated with me while in contact with the enemy; clear instructions from the Commander and XO on where to go and what mission to complete
Cons: Confusion at the beginning of Phase 1 due to both Recon squads spawning then having contact with the enemy within 2min; Due to immediate contact with the enemy at the onset of Phase 1, Recon was unable to be out of sight and mind of the enemy in order to accomplish their mission

Pros:

  • Excellent squad comms. We were able to direct our focus as a unit to engage the opponent.
  • Loved doing airborne work on the flanks after we moved away from Bergstein Church.
  • Individual troopers had a great time and identified things for themselves to improve on.
  • Easy squad was in charge of 1st and 2nd AT guns, we got put out of position for the 2nd, and another squad immediately got into position. The planning beforehand was excellent!

Cons:

  • Confusion at Bergstein Church on when to place the AT caused a bit of delay on shooting the tank. AT gun was identified right away by the Allies.
  • Garrison placements were a little off, being removed when a sector was capped even though they could have been put 20m East.
  • The capping of Southern Approach multiple times just added confusion and removed from the immersion of stopping the tank escort.
  • There was some concern that the FTX was too easy, but it could have quickly gone the other way.

Pros:
  • Excellent squad comms. We were able to direct our focus as a unit to engage the opponent.
  • Enjoyed performing flanking maneuvers and performing Raiders tactics.
  • Individual troopers had a great time and identified things for themselves to improve on.

Cons:
  • Confusion on phase one when being able to engage the enemy when they were taking out our OPs.
  • Enemies retaking Southern Approach reset the team by 10 minutes and OPORD appeared that this would not be a concern of action.
  • Enjoyed the concept, but solo tanks should be turned into tank columns.

I appreciate the work that went into creating this FTX, very grateful for those that put their time into creating a fun game.

PROS:

  • Raiders were split into two in game squads, was very effective to have a deep and shallow flank to spread out the enemy
  • Individual troopers did an excellent job and stayed relatively upbeat
  • Took out multiple garrisons and wiped multiple squads
  • Everyone had a good time

CONS:

  • Not having a tank cannon sorta made combined arms more like combined 1 and a half arms. It's hard enouh to tank on hill400,
  • The axis' objective was to defend eselwig during that phase, not capture southern. Capturing southern was a bit scenario breaking and forced us to defend the point 4 grid squares away from the actual objective. which spread us out a bit too much. Defenders should not have been allowed into the zone after they lose the zone. They are supposed to DEFEND!
  • Rear tank security was neglected. It's a must to cover the rear. It's the tanks biggest weakness.

Pros:

  • Great idea and concept. Difficult map but a good choice!
  • Great squad, good communication with them
  • Team ended up working together well over all with good leadership
Cons:
  • Non-Company members felt plans weren't made/tasks thought of for them until last minute
  • AO and rule set felt confusing and mismanaged

Pros:

  • Great planning and execution of the plan
  • Amazing comms in leadership and in squad
  • My squads ability to follow orders as well as move on there own accord was very impactful
  • My squad had an amazing time and really enjoyed doing airborne doctrine in a OP setting.
Cons:
  • Might have been a little bit unbalanced? TBH it's very hard to tell.
  • Having to deal with the southern cap (maybe have a meeting b4 op with both sides leadership to go over some of these thoughts)
