Pros:
  • Squad Did exceptional
  • Good use of AA with a con below
  • Good use of resupply
  • Mission was Really fun with dry periods
Cons:
  • Resupply required for the pandurs more than justifies bringing back atlas-4 in a purley logistical capacity
  • QRF came from extremley off places Through NATO positions, and through our staging area
  • Lack of CAP or Early strikes of important positions that caused extreme danger to the platoon
  • Hind Survived 3 AA missiles 2 from my squad 1 from our air assets and only dissabled while going down it shot 10~ rockets directly into bravo fireteam killing them all.
  • Set up a perfect defensable position only to ENDEX 15 mins before the hour
  • Blue on blue with A-10

Pros:
  • Lots of fun, had new guys they learned a lot, lots of medical.
  • Good amount of surgery, lots of mass cas's lots of work.
  • Good comms & good coordination with what he had.
  • Loved the immersion additions such as Blufor setting up in the area & fly overs felt like we were actually a part of a larger picture.
  • Good operation structure overall love the large scale pictures
Cons:
  • Disconnects again being a huge problem (might be good to look into task force or an alternative till acre is fixed.)
  • Unfortunately a large amount of black tags, but we had our hands tied with disconnects and no Atlas-2, worked with what we had.
  • Felt like operation ended a little early.
  • Security was really lacking at the beginning of assault, Atlas ended up having to engage a BMP coming down our road while the Viking Pandur next to us instantly got screwed.

Element Callsign: CHAOS-1
Element Leader: Corporal Kastor.K

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Pros:
  • First showing of WARHOUNDS JTAC/TACP!
  • Callsign CHAOS is a welcome change.
  • Absolutely love the "we're one cog in a greater Operation" style of Ops
  • Being overflown by friendly jets while in convoy was top notch
  • Good presence and aggression of REDAIR
  • Good aggressive mechanized QRFs
  • Aggressive enemy paradrop in vicinity
  • Good CAS / CAP / SEAD action from LIGHTNING-1 (Villmarsson.L) and HOG-1 (Sutodoreh.W).
  • Great comms from Sutodoreh.W in HOG-1, proper readbacks and on top of the CAS flow.
  • Was able to task BUFFALO-1 with a SERE mission to search for crashed HOG-1.
Cons:
  • Minimal to none at times comms from LIGHTNING-1 (as I understand due to possible real life situation with family in background?), as Vill was whispering or not responding, barely audible and muffled, not really readable most of the time.
  • Never got a proper check-in from LIGHTNING-1.
  • HOG-1 reported possible ACRE issues from LIGHTNING on top of the above.
  • On initial run, HOG-1 did not adhere to the predefined attack heading and reciprocal, resulting in blue-on-blue suppression of VIKING-1 and minimal friendly casualties there. Communicated the issue, further on HOG-1 adjusted and was adherent.
  • Many players experienced connection timeout / kicks / ACRE difficulties. This seems to be a reemergent issue after Teamspeak updated their API.
  • On several occasions ISR misidentified enemy APCs as "BMPs" where they were BTR/BRDM wheeled vehicles instead and lower threat. Enemies riding on top of them may have added to the confusion. Advise using "APC" / "IFV" identifiers rather than specific model, unless 100% certain on PID.

Element Callsign: Viking-5
Element Leader: Second Lieutenant Sam.T

Pros:
  • Overall solid OP concept.
  • Despite the late start on the brief, the platoon stepped off at roughly H+20, which for a mechanized operation isn't a bad timeframe.
  • Sierra-1's assistance on the route planning on general collaboration from Platoon HQ was nice to see and led to a smooth process.
  • Solid work from Buffalo keeping the flow of reinserts and supplies going.
  • Godfather was very responsive to logistical needs that Buffalo couldn't support.
  • Successfully secured and exfilled a Civilian who wandered into the fray! I'm unaware of the overall civilian casualty count and infrastructure damage cost of this OP, but in my mind, this is a win!
  • A new trooper gaining OIC experience! Always awesome to see folks stepping up and testing themselves as leadership!
Cons:
  • ACRE/Teamspeak induced game crashes. This is becoming a very common theme during operations. Luckily task-killing Teamspeak averts the full-game client crash, but having to stop/start Teamspeak 5-6 times during an OP while running a radio-heavy role like the PSG is suboptimal.
  • An incredibly slow reaction compounded initial contact on the EOC/ORP. Thankfully the enemy IDF was sporadic and inaccurate, but with the platoon being under direct observation and the enemy having heavy IDF capabilities, this could have been disastrous.
