Alpha Company 1-7 is accepting applications for a Section Leader position for a Rotary-Wing Aviation Section in First Platoon, Alpha Company, First Battalion. Your Duties:
Handle all administrative duties related to the role of a Section Leader.
Be present and available for your trooper's needs.
Maintain the gold standard of section practices we provide in Alpha Company, First Battalion.
Minimum Requirements:
Listed below is the process and requirements for billet selection for SL for all Troopers across the Regiment.
Be in good standing with no active negative actions.
Maintained the MOS billet 153A or 15T for a minimum of 30 days before application.
Be at the minimum rank of Specialist or higher upon recommendation.
Submit a letter of recommendation from your current SL or ASL and a letter of interest.
Note: Letters of recommendation are solely intended to indicate whether a candidate is believed to be competent enough to handle the position. SLs can and should provide letters of interest to multiple candidates, provided they believe each of those candidates would be suitable for the position and regardless of which candidate the SL would prefer to see selected.

Daily Duties
Take Care of Troopers - When on Discord be available for your troopers. Be prompt when responding to requests for assistance over Discord or the forums.
Make an effort to meet with members of Platoon Staff to build a rapport and ensure a positive working relationship with them.
Spend time with troopers and leadership within your Company.
Administrative tasks - Ensure transfers, AWOLs, PAF Logs and discharges happen in a timely manner, and monitor them for any changes to the Company Strength.
Counseling - Issue appropriate counselling measures as required to ensure understanding and compliance with all rules, regulations and minimum expectations.
Promotions - Follow Regimental SOP in regards to promotion recommendations passed up from within the Company. Perform spot checks to ensure no one who meets promotion requirements has been overlooked.
Ensure information is passed up and down the Chain of Command in a timely manner.
Weekly Duties
Accountability - Ensure you are attending one Squad / Section practice a week within the Company.
