[S5 Social Media] 24-Hour Operation – Livestream Information
S5 Public Affairs Social Media S5 Social Media is pleased to announce that livestream coverage will be provided for the upcoming 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment 24-Hour Operation, taking place from 02OCT26 through 03OCT26. Throughout the operation, S5 Social Media will aim to provide continuous coverage for as much of the 24-hour period as possible. Due to the duration of the event and the availability of personnel, uninterrupted coverage for the entire operation cannot be guaranteed. However, every effort will be made to maintain coverage and showcase the operation throughout its duration. The livestream will feature perspectives from across the operation, providing viewers with an opportunity to follow participating elements and see the event develop over the course of the 24 hours. The operation is scheduled to begin on 02OCT26 and conclude on 03OCT26. The 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment, often referred to as "7thCav" is a long-standing Military Realism (MILSIM) unit that primarily plays first person military shooter/simulation games. The Regiment was founded in October 2002, making it one of the oldest clans in the areas the Regiment covers. We have over 500 active members within the Cav across games like Arma 3, Hell Let Loose (PC & Console), DCS World, Ready or Not, and now Squad. We are focused on tactical realism and immersive game-play, utilizing military training, tactics, and procedures that have been adapted for use in the virtual world. If you decide to enlist you must be 18+ years old with no game or VAC bans within the past 5 years for any reason. Pilots Wanted! | DCS World | A/ACD
Help populate our DCS Tactical Public Server or participate during a curated mission! This mission occurs weekly on our DCS operations every Tuesday at 0100Z and Saturday at 0000Z for 2 hours. S3 Operations/Public Staff will conduct an official operation open to the public. S3 Mission Controller will need to record attendance and post an AAR per standard Cav operation SOP. For all leadership slots, this is a great opportunity to gain battlefield leadership experience for ALL members, no matter your level of experience or rank! Notify S3 if you wish to participate in combined arms for ground roles operating armor, SAM sites, or logistics.

Role of S5 2IC: The 2IC of S5 supports the 1IC in executing duties assigned to the department, focusing on the maintenance of MILPACs and relevant data/tools.

Responsibilities of S5 2IC:
  • Oversee the health and morale of the department.
  • Attend at least one CSC per quarter.
  • Perform administrative tasks delegated by the 1IC.
  • Ensure the ASFM tracker is up to date.
  • Verbally counsel Staff Leads/AO Leads to ensure compliance with policies.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Most be in good standing with no active negative actions
  2. Minimum rank of PFC
  3. S5 Experience is preferred but not mandatory

S3 HLL Public Lead Opening

We currently have an opening for the lead position of the S3 HLL Public Lead. Below are the duties and responsibility for the position. If interested in applying, please send a letter of interest to Argentini.E and Ryan.BF no later than 4/28.

The Public Staff Lead is in charge of all aspects of their sub-department and reports to S3 Command Staff. They are responsible for the following:

General:
  • You are primarily responsible for the coordination and maintenance of your Public Staff to ensure all activities on the public server(s) for your respective game AO are of a good standard for enjoyment purposes. Obviously, you yourself are able to produce these activities as well, but as lead, you are also expected to facilitate others.
  • Ensure that minimum expectations are being met by staff, that public staff activities are produced to standard, and that activities are run regularly.
  • Counsel Staff members who fail to meet minimum standards.
  • Maintain any reference material within your department forums.
  • Be on hand to mentor and assist members in their growth as Public Staff.
  • Attempt to resolve any issues at the lowest level possible but send issues up to the next person in the S3 CoC as needed.
  • Ensure that all public staff members are up to date on using administration tools (e.g. battlemetrics) & ensure that they are not abusing their abilities.
  • Ensure that you are ICSing Public Staff:
    • Minimum Requirement: Completion of Server Administration Course (because all members of Public Staff are also considered game admins).
    • Use the Public Staff ICS page to ICS new Public Staff members.
Daily:
  • Take care of your Public Staff and be available to them at all times when you are online.
