The 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment, often referred to as "7thCav" is a long-standing Military Realism (MILSIM) unit that primarily plays first person military shooter/simulation games. The Regiment was founded in October 2002, making it one of the oldest clans in the areas the Regiment covers. We have over 500 active members within the Cav across games like Arma 3, Hell Let Loose (PC & Console), DCS World, Ready or Not, and now Squad. We are focused on tactical realism and immersive game-play, utilizing military training, tactics, and procedures that have been adapted for use in the virtual world. If you decide to enlist you must be 18+ years old with no game or VAC bans within the past 5 years for any reason. Pilots Wanted! | DCS World | A/ACD
Help populate our DCS Tactical Public Server or participate during a curated mission! This mission occurs weekly on our DCS operations every Tuesday at 0100Z and Saturday at 0000Z for 2 hours. S3 Operations/Public Staff will conduct an official operation open to the public. S3 Mission Controller will need to record attendance and post an AAR per standard Cav operation SOP. For all leadership slots, this is a great opportunity to gain battlefield leadership experience for ALL members, no matter your level of experience or rank! Notify S3 if you wish to participate in combined arms for ground roles operating armor, SAM sites, or logistics.

For exceptionally meritorious service to Bravo Troop, First Battalion. Captain Patrick Burton distinguished himself by leading his troop during the 1-7 Recruitment Competition, coming in first place across the Battalion. This directly led to an influx of new recruits for Arma 3, boosting battalion morale in the process. He is also consistently active within his troop and available to his troopers.Captain Patrick Burton's dedication to duty and exceptionally meritorious service are in great credit to themself and the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment, and he is named the Officer of the Quarter for Q2 2022.

For distinguished contributions to Alpha Company, 1st Battalion. Private First Class Hoseph Burlas elevated himself above his peers by recruiting 10+ new troopers for Alpha Company during the Second quarter. Private First Class Burlas has gone above and beyond his role as a trooper by actively engaging potential recruits, organizing troopers and helping re-motivate Troopers to get the classes needed to become winged. S1 Department 1IC Position Opening​


S1 is responsible for the administration of personnel and the administration requirements for the Regiment. Unique to our virtual community, S1 also has responsibility for the visual representation of each trooper as a unique individual, through standards conformant MILPACS and Uniforms.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum rank of Sergeant [E-5], or​
  • Minimum rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2 [W-2], or​
  • Minimum rank of 2nd Lieutenant [O-1]​
  • No Current Negative Action​
  • Experience within S1 is favourable​
  • Written recommendation from next in CoC​
Expectations:
  • Oversee the execution of duties assigned to the department by the Regiment with respect to the upkeep and maintenance of personnel records.​
  • You will be responsible for the ongoing health and morale of the department in all respects​
  • Ensure that minimum expectations are being met, and updates are being conducted to standard. Counsel Clerks who fail to meet minimum standards. Enforce all departmental rules and regulations.​
  • Perform administrative duties associated with the Department, such as helpdesk tickets, processing disciplinary actions, or any task delegated by IMO HQ.​
  • Create and maintain record citations, or delegate as needed​
  • Perform other duties as required​
