The Regimental Commander of the 7th Cavalry Regiment takes great pleasure in presenting the Brigadier General Krazee Lifetime Achievement Medal to Colonel Rip Tharen for his steadfast loyalty, dedicated and exceptional meritorious service, and above all his commitment to the very spirit of the 7th Cavalry Regiment since 19 March 2017. Colonel Tharen has served with distinction in his several stations though out his career in the 7th Cavalry. As the Commander of 1st Battalion he has spent countless hours shaping and guiding the Battalion, constantly insuring that members all the way down to the trooper level are informed, empowered, and engaged with is vision for 1-7. He is constantly approachable, level-headed, and fair towards all members of his Battalion. He has attended over 300 operations for Arma 3, and has acted as the officer in charge during those operations more often than any other officer within the Battalion. He has also served for multiple years with distinction as the OIC for the S7 Department (formerly S3), further shaping course development within Arma 3, as well as helping mold new officer candidates as the ODS Lead. His leadership and devotion to the 7th Cavalry Regiment set the standard for all officers and bring great credit to himself and the 7th Cavalry Regiment as a whole.
