The Wiki Administration Group (WAG) is looking for a new First in Charge (1IC) to head up the upkeep and maintenance of the Regiment's Wiki.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assign tickets to Wiki Editors as they come in on the ticket system;
Edit wiki articles either when requested (ticket system), or take on your own projects (keeping IMO informed) to better the Wiki, or if mistakes are found;
Delete pages on request;
Advise the Commander IMO and Commander 7th Cavalry Regiment of Wiki capabilities and limitations; and
Produce policies and procedures about WAG when required.
This job, like many, is a leadership role. However, while we are opening it to any MOS, you must already have some knowledge of how to edit the wiki. WAG is a very small department, simply due to ticket volume being comparatively low. This means you could be expected to share the workload of the tickets between yourself and the editors. But let's not kid ourselves, editing a wiki is extremely simple, however, you need to come in with baseline knowledge. This is a department head position, and as such it requires a high level of maturity, commitment, self-driven initiative and professionalism.
Qualifications and Pre-Requisites
Must have used MediaWiki or similar software previously;
Minimum rank of SGT for Enlisted, 2LT for Officers (as per 7CAV-R-005, Chapter 4, Section 3, Table 1);
Keen attention to detail;
Proficient in writing in English, especially in the tone of a wiki article (Past...
Prepared to serve in the position for at least 6 months or longer
Leadership experience within S7 is preferred, but not required
Expectations:
You are to help Lead the S7 Department in running the day-to-day operations of the department, the execution of their duties, and with the well-being of the department
Help maintain departmental accountability: Ensure that minimum expectations are being met by staff, training is being conducted to standard, and that courses are being run on a regular schedule. Work with Lead Instructors who fail to meet minimum standards using the accountability system.
