Rubber-banding was atrocious, as a tank driver, almost unplayable.
Shoutout to RCT.Kajtar for doing his best in our 2 man situation, despite comms issues and lag, he hung in there and did a great job for his first time being in a tank and given the situation.

Pros:
  • Good communication in squad.
Cons:
  • Intense rubber banding.
  • Outgunned the entire game.
  • Command comms was insane at some point.
  • Offensive game mode is really bad, it's literaly: try something for 10 minutes just to give up and swarm the point to capture it in 60 seconds with your opponent having between 15 to 40 seconds spawn time.. and that's not counting the travel time to make it to the point.

Pros:
  • Despite the constant lag my crew was able to get their job done
  • Communication with infantry was solid
  • Leadership created a plan and for the most part stuck with it
  • Nice competitive match
  • Offensive mode was a nice change compared to the norm
Cons:
  • Crazy map lag
  • Rubber band simulator

Element Leader: CPL.Bell.T
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

PFC.Baktash.L

Pros:
  • Communications were efficient and were clear majority of the time.
  • Commanders plan was good and we seemed to adjust to changes on the battlefield well.
Cons:
  • Major rubber-banding on server - Ping was 150+
  • We were restricted to the points (for flares) and unable to flex as a Recon Unit.
  • Explosive ammo drops were lacking (for flares).

Able Squad Allies (AT Crew)
  1. SSG.White.C
  2. SPC.Yee.L

Pros:
  • Offensive game mode was awesome to have in an operation. Love how the outcomes of each match will affect the overall campaign and force the teams to adapt in the future.

Cons

  • Ping and rubber banding was terrible and occurred throughout the entire match.
  • Repeating the same callouts in command chat only clutters comms. As one of the AT squads, when it is the third or fourth callout that a tank is on a hardpoint, it becomes increasingly frustrating when, after I have already acknowledged the callout, to continue asking why a tank is still alive when there is half an enemy team shooting my rocket man while he attempts to engage the armour.

Element Callsign: Axis 1st Platoon MG squad 2
Element Leader:CPL.Baldrick.D
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

SPC.Angels.N
SPC.James.M
SPC.Fields.M

Pros:
  • Good communication in squad.
  • Good initial op planning but when it fell apart, command and SL's came up with a new plan and executed it perfectly and quickly
  • SPC.Angels.N had a 317m kill with the MG, 41 kills, 207 shots hit, and 2774 shots fired
  • Half the team threw like 20 smokes at a heavy tank on the north side of the last point, causing the tank to not see and get stuck, allowing us to satchel and kill him.
  • Hope to see more offensive OP's in the future. It went a lot smoother than I thought it would.
Cons:
  • Intense rubber banding
  • pings (marking) not being placed or taking a second to be placed due to server ping

Pros:
we did our job, great comms, loved all the planning and PR leading up to this op. interested to see where it goes!

Cons

-The ping on TS1 NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED, seriously considering not join ops on that server going forward because the ping/hit reg/rubber banding is so bad.( opinion of SPC.Parton not reflective of whole squad)

-command comms were extremely cluttered and hard to get good information. highly suggest PLS are in the discord with their respective platoon and communicate with command through in game commands.

I participated in the operation this evening on the Axis side, and due to severe lag issues there were serious skill concerns that prevented the Armored Platoon from being an effective offensive force.

Aside from that, I had a decent time.

Element Callsign: Axis King Squad (Anti-Tank)
Element Leader: Sergeant Etoh.I
7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Major Rollins.R - Anti-Tank
Private First Class Kent.S - Support

Pros:
  • Very fun concept, love extra narrative elements. Adds to immersion in a big way and will continue as this campaign progresses
  • Found success as a 3 man AT crew of competent communicative soldiers. Moved throughout the map fluidly to meet each identified target
  • Two solo tank destructions, multiple first strikes on armor leading to destructions from friendly tanks and AT Squads
  • 3 man AT Squads prove to be effective
  • Clean and accurate armor callouts throughout operation in command comms
Cons:
  • Terrible server performance for all involved
  • Continued AO breaks during phase 2
  • Locking squads (not troopers) to roles may be a more effective way of controlling tools while maintaining immersion. Would love to discuss this more if interested
