Pros:
  • Good times all around
  • Paradrops are always so much fun
  • CQB raid and air assault on a FRAGO order was pretty awesome
Cons:
  • A lot of walking, but makes sense for the terms of an airborne drop
  • our side of things in terms of coordination we wish we had some medics with us on the raid instead of just us
  • CLS's should try to have medic perms to administrate minor medications
  • 6 Disconnects in total for the entire squad

Pros:
  • Spicy mission, got hit in the face by a BTR, engine, compressor and sump failures on engine 1
  • Hot LZ insert, was interesting
  • Hot LZ extract, but had to deal with progressively worsening damage due to no repair vehicle at MOB Cooper.
Cons:
  • No repair/rearm/refuel assets available.

Pros:

Plane jump and parachute visual was sexy; communication at the beginning; Kent stepped up for leadership at the end as SL.

Cons:
Massive technical issues, disconnects from game/Teamspeak at scale; A lot of discussion without action; Communication at the beginning and at the end; Breakdown in command and confusion; Tried to help people with leading, but was rejected.

Pros:
  • Immersive and ambient environment. Cinematic at times.
  • Professional and well executed paradrop.
  • Excellent work from pilots.
  • Buffalo looked to be working hard and directly assisting platoon in all aspects.
  • Fun group within the squad, superstars throughout.
  • Brilliant turnout with a maxed out platoon, atlas, and air assets.
Cons:
  • Although a combat para drop is exciting and attractive it was felt that it was not to suitable this evening. A good 1hr and 30 mins of walking to first objective.
  • Lack of overall contact for the entirety.
  • No enemy response to our infil, or noise. Stealth element lost as mission progressed. Enemy patrols or recon patrols would of been a good solution.
  • No enemy presence, or QRF, in the vicinity of Southend as per marked on OPORD.
  • All the makings of a brilliant operation but did not deliver.
  • Continued disconnects from ACRE issues.

Pros:
  • Good turnout!
  • Good airborne drop considering it was done in a public setting.
  • Communication was extremely well done. The squad knew what the squad was doing.
  • Excellent teamwork.
  • Foot march in!
  • Section followed commands to a T.
Cons:
  • Foot march. They felt that the foot march was very immersive but the other side of the operation in contact was not enough. Consider maybe extending the time in contact or the latter half of the operation if we are going to have a long insert.
  • Blue on blue contact. Not properly PID contacts.
  • DZRP was too far from the ORP/AP.
  • Helicopters took away from the stealth of our airborne insert.
  • Command & Control felt like a push and pull.

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Pros:
  • Great unit cohesion creating a very enjoyable environment in the game and creating memories
  • Very great turnout of 50+ members
  • fluid communication between Atlas 1 & 2 and within the sections themself
  • Atlas got a fair share of combat instead of life-saving procedures
Cons:
  • Atlas got a fair share of combat instead of life-saving procedures
  • 40 mins of setting up to jump to take a total of 1.5 hours to get to OBJ
  • blue on blue action
  • early jumpers before the red line
  • command fell apart due to disconnects
  • infantry seemed disoriented and unaware of its tasking
  • even though it was a pub server felt like it wasn't taken seriously
  • 6 lines weren't used properly other than go to this sections AO

Pros:
  • Pilot one shotted by BTR, rendered unconscious still somehow landed safely?
  • Hot LZ's for insert and extract
  • Good briefing, plan, and attendance.
  • Tucker's 100th op!
Cons:
  • Titan drop took over 40 minutes to get rolling.
  • Enemy BTR gunners accuracy "god like" 1 shot a pilot doing 100km/hr + from over 1km away?
  • Despite Buff-1 CC and Buff-2 quick reaction unable to prevent pilot Buff-3 from bleeding out

Pros:
  • Amazing turnout for a wfw
  • Paradrop was good and smooth, good work from JM + pilots
  • Worked well with, 7 and atlas-1 including great communication
  • Plenty of surgery
  • Fun with getting a bit more contacts as atlas
Cons:
  • 1h 30 min setup before we go to the AO is a lot of wasted time
  • Infantry squads had poor security and no command succession when DC's happened

Pros:
  • Good inter- and intra- team communication.
  • Good movement using micro terrain.
  • The base assault was cool and seemingly executed well.
  • Amazing camaraderie within the team.
  • Maintained accountability for the HVT.
  • The para-drop was really cool, and considering the public setting was executed decently.
  • The linear campaign was excellent! Very much enjoyed by everyone.
  • AMAZING turnout for a WFW!
  • Found the source of the disconnect
Cons:
  • Atlas did not seem to be factored into the overall plan other than "we'll be there to do medical."
  • Misfit-1 was deployed outside of the mutual support range of the platoon with no medical support; no information was provided to Atlas that this was occurring.
  • The airborne operation led to skewed pacing (1:30 before contact with the drop, assemble at DZRP, and movement).
  • Overall we felt largely dissociated from the effort tonight. The banter and camaraderie in the team made it an enjoyable experience, but the actual OP tasking was lacking.

Element Callsign: BUFFALO-2
Element Leader: Warrant Officer 1 Hamm.C "Hooker"

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Pros:
  • Part pro, part con= Great mission concept, [pro part] but failed to deliver the level of fun I was hoping for. [con part]
  • Really FANTASTIC turnout for Warfare Wednesday.
  • Airdrops are always cool and surely enjoyed by our FW pilots.
  • OPORD and forum communications/coordination with slotting (FW) were good, pre-mission.
  • Good teamwork from Alpha Rotary. Good flying.
Cons:
  • Fidelity to the OPORD should be paramount to the maximum extent possible. I totally understand last minute priority deviations may be necessary, but this was not the case: The OPORD called for two (2) BUFFALO Blackhawk aircraft. Somehow and inexplicably, there was a BUFFALO-3 that just showed up and seemingly created their own slot on their own volition, notwithstanding the OPORD and valid forum sign-ups. In my opinion, this creates issues/problems because: A) First the obvious, it's not part of the Operations Order Order for this mission as designed by the mission maker. B) It was not even necessary or warranted. C) Nobody else got the opportunity to sign up for BUFFALO-3, which again, was non-existent in our Operations Order. D) Without permission/clearance from OIC or Godfather, in this case, this is an invalid "impromptu" or improv slotting. E) There were plenty of rotary crew positions open and available, so they should have crewed instead of flying, just as I would have after studying the OPORD provisions/requirements. We simply need to follow the OPORD as best as we can. If it doesn't call for HOG or EAGLE then there is no HOG or EAGLE, unless OIC or MC changes things to suit the needs of the OP. Moreover, tasking was actually given to [supposed-to-be non-existent] BUFFALO-3 OVER BUFFALO-2, who appropriately signed up and reserved his slot. The OPORD is the OPORD for a reason.
  • HUGE amount of wasted time getting going. If were going to do airdrops, we really need to tighten this up because it was WAY too slow. #Training
  • Longtime veteran Cav member was silenced as he tried to give feedback during the AAR, which was not appreciated and is not a good look for The Cav. Members should be allowed give their AAR feedback without interference and never be silenced when attempting to do so.
  • No repair/rearm/refuel assets available, a point that was trying to be made but was silenced. Please note that this point has been made numerous times in the past, with no actioned result.
  • I am not listed here as an Attendee, so I guess that ball got dropped. Will send PM to leadership. They fixed it.
