Mission Controller Actionable Improvements for the Operation:
1. Find a better balance of AAA and MANPAD threats for aviation.
2. Use RHS armored vehicles to avoid 3CB vehicles, the latter of which are far harder to kill to the point of breaking immersion. See below reports for reasoning.
3. Discuss improvements to logistical system with S3 CoC to better balance supply and improve immersive gameplay.

Pros:
  • Good Op Concept
  • Good Comms
  • Alot for Raider to do
Neutral:
  • A lot of Radar guided guns for the size of element
  • Need to mix MANPADS with mounted AAA
Cons:
  • Vehicles where tanker then they would be usually
  • Where the enemy was invading from or where the front line is would be nice to have in the OPORD or on the map
  • Javelin use by infantry took away work from Raider way too much
  • No gun runs for raider due to the AAA threat

Pros
  • Excellent work coordinating with Atlas and Buffalo. Sam, Sutodoreh and Hamm are all pleasant company and I love working with them.
  • Viking-4 melted the adversary force at their SBFs. Viking-1 did great MOUT
  • Good work coordinating with 6 and developing the plan during execution.
  • Great job from the Zeus' providing a contact rich environment that kept all combat elements busy.
  • Good comms on all nets. I (discovered?) a comms management method for dealing with more than 3 nets simultaneously.
Cons
  • Internet dropped out during the most dense contact
  • Relatively low tasking for Atlas and Buffalo flight.

Note:
Idea for godfathers to utilise IDF smoke from enemies before they assault to cut off strong SBFs.

Pros:
  • Excellent comms throughout the operation, especially considering the lack of a Platoon Medic.
  • Viking-5 handled his high level of net traffic amazingly.
  • A very smooth convoy considering the Public nature of the OP. Great training opportunity for a public member.
  • Step-off time was solid.
  • Utilized a Javeline to kill a marksman that was engaging Atlas and Viking-1 that was outside our effective small arms range. Very fun!
  • A good amount of SPOTREPs relayed to Viking-5.
  • Our team maintained good security at our CCPs.
  • A very good amount of reduction, considering the lower casualty numbers.
Cons:
  • OP felt "short" due to the type of work we had and how the overall OP was paced for Atlas.
  • Lighter casualty work compared to previous OPs in this campaign.

Pros:
  • Good overall mission
  • Good mission pace
  • A lot of fires, killed a multitude of targets and an air to air kill.
Cons:
  • Needed better balance of Manpads and Vehicle AA.

Pros:

  • Saved all realistically treatable casualties (only black tag died before we could begin treatment)
  • Good teamwork in the squad
  • Good comms and teamwork with Atlas 1
  • Good comms with 5
Cons:
  • Infantry didn't really react to IDF at all, despite the casualties. They seemed to adopt an attitude of "f it, when we get hit we'll just get treated or reinserted"
  • Infantry seemed to have an unrealistic amount of Javelins available to them

Pros:
  • Excellent mission and tons of fun. Very well done Turn.J.
  • Excellent OPORD and briefing. Really love and appreciate the details.
  • RAIDER-2 crash at the outset of the mission was unfortunate but provided a really ambitious CSAR Hoist/Hook opportunity, which was masterfully executed and accomplished. Two pilots plucked out of the middle of the sea, back to back with amazing results. (See Sparrow.P videos above, it really couldn't have been more perfect). So for the naysayers, the Hoist/Hook system on Hatchet Blackhawk DOES work. You just have to have a competent pilot and a stabilized helicopter. Great job to Crew Chief Bloggins.R who had never operated the hoist/hook before, but did so expertly on his first time. Well done sir.
  • Comms with VIKING-5 were really fantastic as he was always responsive and on point with coordination. Great job Narramoor.A
  • Another successful CSAR at near-ENDEX. Well done again guys.
  • Air to air kill of a Mi-24 Hind, courtesy of Mitchell.B and his blazing mini-guns. Great shooting bro.
Cons:
  • Would have been nice to see some more Alpha Co. rotary turnout.
  • My frames dropped substantially near ENDEX.... from circa 30-35 down to 8 as I was escorting the convoy back. Not sure how or why, but this did suck.
Note: Add FRIES and 36.6m ropes by default. You never know when you're going to need it and weight/inventory impact on the bird is minimal. At one point during this OP, it would have been perfectly useful, but we didn't have the system installed nor the ropes in the inventory.
