Pros:
  • Incredible and intense fight, playing over every street and house back and forth
  • Great team, communication, and teamwork
  • Great use of AT guns and anti-tank tactics
  • Good flexibility
  • Well defended
  • Enemy put up a ferocious fight and tanks+MGs were a constant headache
Cons:
  • Maybe the garrison area for Foy was too large and should have been limitted to 2x3 grids instead of 3x3

Pros:
  • Communication was good, call outs were good marks were most times accurate
  • Immersive Operation the opening sequence was pure historical porn
  • Armor Crew internal and with other crews excellent
  • Armor to Infantry comms were superb
  • Enemy team played extremely well with what little assets they had to use.
  • Excellent positioning of enemy AT guns and placing infantry
  • Good placing of Garrisons, really had to make us look for em
Cons:
  • Satchels and AT guns hurt tanks.

Solids:

  • It was a blast
  • The defenders were super solid, hard to beat the best!
  • the Jaegers squad did great on backline offense
  • Great platoon leading from Stetchkov.A
  • OP concept ran within expectations, a few tweaks and it'll be even better
  • Lemon.D rocked the MG, stacking bodies.
  • Winter.H and Konn.G were satchel badasses, couldn't have done it without them
  • Litvin.D was absolutely essential on support and medic. His revives kept Winter and Lemon up and running!
  • Cooper.N was super adaptable, and played a mean AR and frag combo. Total badass.
Improvements:

  • We should probably have used more half-tracks.
  • More directions for the assaults.
  • If I ever have to run this operation again, I'm going to restrict "Town of Foy" to the 3-4 grid.

Pros:
  • Excellent Operation, absolutely love the concept of historical battles with differing balances based on the battle. The persistent keyword is also clever and I hope to see it used for more in the future.
  • Made the best of no armor support with numerous AT guns to keep tanks on their toes.
  • Great Platoon level communication and tactics, we were able to effectively move our three squads from location to location to repel any advance made against us.
Cons:
  • Please please please please don't place Manpower nodes at spawn. We were trying to spread the word in command chat, but when we're allowed time to build defenses for a prolonged period, it's crucial that we keep all 3 along the frontline to allow Supports faster resupply time. Our squad was unable to get one up at Cobru Factory and it hampered our ability to effectively get our garrison, AT guns, and barbed wire up.

Pros:
  • Very well made OPORD and impressive balancing of assets.
  • Operation kicked off on time and ended on time with efficient debrief.
  • Good concise communication with my SLs and my Commander which made juggling the multiple forms of communication easier.
  • All of the Axis soldiers fought well and with good sportsmanship, even though it became increasingly difficult near the back half to make progress, I did not see or hear any complaints nor frustration.
  • Impressive start to the offensive with coordinated artillery barrage that allowed for a cinematic experience of everyone rushing into battle with "rounds complete" being called right as infantry made initial contact, I don't believe any FF occurred at any point from IDF.
  • Panzer SLs communicated effectively and were always willing to adjust as needed. Special shoutout to Smith.V for this.
  • This operation kept me humble being my first time PLing for HLL let alone in an official setting, everyone was patient but I was definitely out of my comfort zone initially and once I got the groove I felt tested while working on ideas to overcome the defenders.
Cons:
  • Not entirely a con as it could be circumstantial, but I would agree with the other comments regarding reducing the size of defense zone of Foy. Having to search and find 5 garrisons within the large AO while also fighting every inch of the way was a very tall order. While we got 3 of them, it was definitely a punch to morale hearing there were two left to find with only ~20 minutes left. Potentially a non-issue if both sides aren't as well balanced with skilled troopers as they were for this op but no one likes a steamroll.

Pros:
  • Excellent team work and communication from all command
  • Employment of different methods of attack
  • Utilized assets available throughout
Cons
  • Squad leads (Or at least myself) could have used a bit more time with leadership to go over the OPORD as some of it was not directly told and we only found out as we were in game. Comms between local, command, and squad would drown one another out

Pros:
  • While serving as artillery during the beginning of the battle:
    • Excellent CFF (Call{s} for Fire)
    • Fire missions were instrumental to early success.
  • While serving as armor:
    • Coordination between tanks was generally solid.
    • Minimal losses given the circumstances.
    • Intercrew communication was superb.
    • Armored assets successfully eliminated two garrisons.
    • Infantry assistance was excellent.
Cons
  • Coordinated assaults wherein armored assets would pe poignantly utilized to support infantry assault would have been useful.
  • Infantry relay of positions of high enemy presence was inconsistent.
  • Armor was unable to breach Foy proper due to the large anti-tank presence.

Pros:
  • Crew diligently followed orders, maintained excellent comms, and fulfilled their roles expertly
  • Tank combat against AT guns was satisfying overall
  • Tank supporting infantry movement was synergistic and rewarding
  • Realistic inspiration for the operation was immersive and exciting
  • Campaign-long limits on tanks encouraged conservative gameplay
Cons:
  • Infantry and tank support was sometimes disconnected and tanks were unable to effectively support infantry squads

Pros:
  • Extremely manuevable squad
  • Great work flipping between AT/Supplies/Engy to reinforce the south.
  • 7 total AT guns by this squad. GET SOME.
  • Manpower node ON POINT.
  • outstanding flexibility
  • Discipline ^^^
  • So proud of my squad.
Cons:
  • The start was unnecessarily long. If you're SL/Support, you do NOT drive the truck. The truck, in the beginning, has one sole purpose. Barrel in, hard, fast, no stopping. If you're an SL, then YOU can jump out.
  • We lost an easy 1min-1.5mins bc of the above.
  • Manpower nodes should be on point. The 2-minute resupply is HUGE when trucks/CMDR is not feasible.
  • LISTEN TO COMMAND COMMS ^ the above was literally mentioned 3-5x prior.
  • Im sad we lost the last garrison to tank fire.
