Pros:
  • Really fun 6 hour operation with multiple objectives, so diverse things to do
  • Airborne drop was good
  • Liked the day/night cycle and food/water was not intrusive
  • Good movement and planning by Bandit and Viking at each objective
  • 1990's era gear was nice change of pace
Cons:
  • Slow radio communications w/ RTO's who seemed to not be near their Platoon Leader to relay orders quickly; lack of SITREPS/Contact reports/ACE reports unless directly asked for by Company HQ. Platoons need to indicate when platoon is in contact. Need location (grid cords), not just "over here" to indicate where unit is for reporting.
  • Server crash after 6 hours

Pro:
Good Radio comms across Atlas, PM, Hitman 7
Quick response on radios from
Do not believe no black tags while under care
Atlas Leaders were strict with team members to preform how they wanted the team to be.
Airborne drop went well with no report injuries
Jump brief was by far top of list
Mission ran very well for the amount of time and the amount of people we had.

Con:
Work out a way to make doing surgery
Some radio issues with the SR
Would of been nice to have a player ran resupply for the whole op
Server death in the last couple hours
Was a shame not to see Alpha Co not used would be been a great help at times

Pros:
  • Amazing destruction as the weapons squad.
  • I've never seen anyone man the mortar tube the way Zaren and Xinos did today, let alone for 6 hours straight.
  • Resupply was always available when needed --> good logistics.
  • Airborne drop seemed very good from my point of view.
  • No signs of fatigue in the squad, even the guys who stayed for the whole thing were still killing it at the end.
  • Very good communications, especially on the platoon net.
Cons:
  • One of my squad members feels like the platoon movement was a bit rushed at some points.
  • At some points we were a little bunched up, mainly talking about the hill our squad was set up at at the end. When we had just set up on that hill suddenly a lot of other random elements started coming up there, probably over 20 guys on that hill at some point who were all scattered around making it very hard to keep an overview while taking contact.
  • Absence of Eagle-1, we should not have to take care of red air with manpads pulled out of the arsenal at the CCP.

Pro:
-Good Leadership
-Loved the Airborne
-Loved the Scope of the Op
-Loved the length of the Op
-Over night holds were fun
-Maintained a fun aggression all throughout the Op
-Fantastic use of suppression on at minimal 3 occasions.
-Called up to Bandit-4 for fire support
-Food and water (next time make it so its, eat every 2 irl Hours, and drink every 30 min)
-That Airfield take

Con:
-Had to leave early, last minute schedule change
-We ought to have pulled back at the final objective and back cleared the VDV
-I did not pull back my squad, and we got wiped due to it x2
-Near PLT wipe due to tanks
-I pushed safely into the second city, then got shot-mortared-BTR'd, within a few minutes if not seconds which lead to a squad wipe/plt wipe.
-Saw a critical RTO way in-front of the whole company not able to give vital information from plt to co and co to plt

Pros:
  • Jump went well with jumpmasters briefing their troopers perfectly which resulted in no issues during the flight (which with public ops doesn't always happen).
  • All three Titans had perfect takeoffs and perfect landings on a relatively small dirt runway.
Cons:
  • For a public operation being used to "showcase" the 7Cav, Alpha Co was left horribly underutilized. 6 hours worth of gameplay and fixed wing gets roughly 20 minutes to shine and rotary was not used at all to my understanding.
  • Reports coming out that Hog ended up being used but was AI controlled. Would like to see a player in that role as we train for that only to be replaced by AI?
  • Due to the underutilization I would have preferred to see Titan be used to drop supplies rather than Zeus place them. Also would like to see Eagle be used for CAP rather than have ground troops have to try and fend off REDAIR with manpads.
  • Buffalo should be used for reinserts at bare minimum. Teleporting breaks immersion and is a slap in the face to the men and women who train every week on these airframes.

Pro:
  • Saved 2 personnel that were downed by enemy fire
  • Between platoon and company relay of comm's
  • Aggressive and decisive action

Con:
  • Platoon inability to communicate when moving from positions
  • Platoon lack of communication when asked multiple times for reports due to juggling multiple assets
  • Failure to maintain cohesion due to poor movement directives
  • Having to be repetitive to get SITREPS when asked by others and no response at times leaving a lot of gaps for information relay
  • Poor secondary planning leading into failure to maintain objectives
  • Impatient requests when under direct contact
  • Platoon to failure to assign order of succession of command in the event of loss of command elements
  • Lack of having additional person assigned for combat buddy system

Pro:
  • 90s op is a vibe <3
  • Greatly appreciated the new patches! :3
  • Excellent cooperation with LT Stewart, really fun and pleasant, laid back leadership.
  • Lower LR radio saturation and need for usage of RTOs was a plus and a game changer.
  • Limitations of assets to ground pounders, without constantly present CAS created a lot of tension from meeting mere APCs and Vodniks, even low-tech tanks were scary af
  • TOW humvees! SO MANY KILLS WITH MY TOW _
  • ATLAS-3 resupply being heavily utilized.
  • Viking used correctly to scout ahead, recon and hold SBFs before main assaults.
  • Having to break contact from overwhelming fire at Viking SBF was fun, same as the squad in two Vodniks rolling up on us at the Viking CP.
  • Great reaction to that contact from what remained of Viking.
Con:
  • No idea why Company HQ did not have their own RTO, 5/6 were clearly too busy with on-the-ground leadership to maintain constant comms. Either hang back and let Platoon HQs execute or lead from the front but then designate RTOs for comms with Bandit-8 and Viking-8. Too often getting 5/6's attention took several minutes or they asked for a report and when I was ready to transmit there was no response.
  • What I initially took for lack of situational awareness from Bandit-8 seems to have occured because Bandit-6 was not paying attention to their RTO and moved without notifying them of either execution or intent. Do not keep your RTOs in the dark, leaders.
  • Armoured and mechanized QRF was way OP, Viking at the time was really understrength and had only two TOW Humvees, no other proper assets.
  • After the Viking force got cut down at SBF and lost most of vehicles, pace really slowed down and chain of command deteriorated.
  • Disconnection of Viking-6 was not communicated on LR, we had to sort it out after we saw the server message.
  • Unfortunate crash at 6hrs, but most everyone seemed to be really tired at that point. Maybe 6hrs instead of 8hrs is a good target?
  • Would like to have seen A/1-7 being utilized even if they had to wait around for their brief stints. Possibly utilizing them as pilots for OPFOR helis and fast movers, with restrictions on severity of engagement, would have been a good idea?

Pro:
  • All the practice showed to prove it made perfect with how well executed this jump was.
  • Great fun! Who doesn't love a (almost) 8 hour op!?
  • Holiday casually taking down enemy air with a Stinger.
  • 90s OP and seeing everyone with the new patches just made for a chefs kiss atmosphere.

Con:
  • Would be nice to have stretcher surgery implemented as finding medical facilities and vehicles became a rarity at times but 7 was always on it when we requested them.
  • Down time between had some members a bit bummed, although I feel with OPs of this length its a bit unavoidable at times.
  • A member of Atlas-1 passed out and by the time we were able to get him stable, all assaulting elements had traveled more than 1k meters with no mention of movement to us, we had one member carrying our unconscious medic leaving us with only 2 guns up & a sad lil feeling for almost 2k meters.
  • Patients bodies disappearing in the middle of treatment for certain medics but not for others making successful recoveries difficult but as time went on we all found a flow and it went smooth.
