Pros:
  • Units did a great job on reacting to contact.
  • Despite some elements feeling rushed, everyone responded quickly to order adjustments.
  • Intent was executed without micromanagement.

Cons:
  • Too many assets staged inside the AO - looking at ideas to task them but not flood the AO.
  • One element felt rushed. I should have explained to call in if they needed to halt. No feedback leads to me pushing. Improvement on my end needed. Trying to keep everyone engaged can lead to pushing other elements too hard.
  • Cav members need to stay off chat unless coms go down.

If you are not on this list, please message the OIC.

Pros:
  • Unit crushed enemy combatants
  • No civilian casualties
  • All hostages extracted
  • Fireteam leaders were on point
  • Intrasquad communication was good, comms and objectives were always clear and known
  • First time SLing for me, was a great experience and key lessons learned on how I can assist with possible overflow with fireteam management
  • No black casualties
Cons:
  • A dedicated overflow squad is essential
  • Second half of the operation felt poor due to excess amount of troopers within the squad
  • Apaches should not be hovering 10 meters above BLUFOR forces as they could have killed most of GUN-1 and the hostages if it went down
  • OP felt short and that there wasn't enough contact especially towards the end - Zeus should intervene more when they see a squad is ahead and constantly destroying OPFOR
  • Blue-on-Blue on Longshot asset, according to my fireteam that engaged it was due to breakdown of communications on their location, not wearing easily identifiable blufor uniform/equipment and that they would have been engaged by GUN-2 also because of their location in relation to contact

Pros:
  • Great mission concept.
  • Squad did a great job sticking together and absolutely destroying everything in it's path.
Cons:
  • Operation was way too rushed. This is a con that keeps coming back, maneuvers need to be slowed down. The rush caused casualties.
  • Got a complaint that the coordination on platoon level was a bit off, SBF's at strange positions shooting 45 degrees overhead of friendlies, other squads too much ahead of us which put them in our sector.
  • Public player doing LONGSHOT was clearing our lane all by himself ahead of us, was also seen running around with thermal nvg's.

Pros:
  • Good leadership all round. FTLs made work easier and kept things in check.
  • Perfect amount of constant action. No up or downs which meant the squad had to stay alert and keep head on a swivel.
  • Fantastic reaction to contact.
  • SIERRA effective and on point throughout.
  • Really immersive scenario and mission throughout. Fitting environment meant for a really fun mission.
  • Fast LACE reports received and passed up.
  • Lots of armour engaged. 2x T55 destroyed by squad.
  • No black casualties.
  • Good response from ATLAS and 7.
  • Clean comms throughout on a platoon and squad level.
  • Brilliant turnout with high amount of attendees.
  • Top notch work from all assets and squads throughout.
Cons:
  • Rotor wash noise in AO, could look to better stage outside and call in.
  • ATLAS taking hostages and causing stockholm syndrome.
  • Broken limbs not being fixed.
  • Had to double back and clear previously passed location.
Successfully achieved objectives in a quick and well executed mission.

Element Callsign: GUNSLINGER-5
Element Leader: Corporal Van Alstine.

Pros:
  • Units worked well on there own.
  • JTAC handled everything well giving 5 and 6 more time to focus on troop movements.
  • ATLAS was never far and always able to treat casualties.
Cons:
  • Units did not handle mutual support very well.
  • Viking could have been closer to the gun units.
  • Could have used more prep time to mark attack lanes on map and set units to go.

Element Callsign: INFIDEL-1
Element Leader: Staff Sergeant Kastor.K
7Cav Personnel: Chief Warrant Officer 3 Langlois.R

Pros:
  • Despite extreme amount of air crews that day (2x BISON, RAIDER, HOG, EAGLE all at the same time), good responsiveness from them in tasking.
  • Good air crew initiative on enemy detection, report and engagement. Special commendation to Specialist Swagger.J (HOG-1) for detecting several mortar firebases and silencing them effectively.
  • Good control of air assets from HQ - first severely limiting it, especially at mosque, then relinquishing it against selected "boxes", as well as selected target types, as they unfolded.
  • Great comms on both LR12 and 20.
Cons:
  • Unfortunately had to leave before endex, relayed control to Chief Langlois.
  • LONGSHOT was initially attached to me, but after the first objective decided to reattach to GUN-1, which in practice meant they've just lonewolfed hard into the AO and got shot up by friendlies.
  • After HOG-1 destroyed three consecutive mortar firebases, the Mission Controler seems to have decided to use the Artillery Support option basically spawning explosions, without allowing us to retaliate. Unless there was a 4th firebase extremely well concealed, this should be taken into consideration, as this is not the way to simulate IDF in an Op.

  • more contact would have been nice
  • extract felt rushed and unplanned
  • Mortar landed directly on my face
