Pros:
  • Fun , enjoyable.
  • Squad used its tools properly.
  • Great Coms over Radio, and Leadership Development.

Cons:
  • Use Either PL or CL, not both to avoid confusion.
  • SBF Location was entirely useless due to trees and foliage.

Pros:
  • Pretty fair spread of contact between all squads
  • Great Execution & Communications during FTX between all TCs & Troop Staff
  • Solid Planning & FRAGO'ing the day prior & during the Operation
  • Lots of fill-ins from non-19Ks
  • Got to do 2 Movie Like Action Drills as a Platoon towards the end
  • Got to execute the curriculum we practiced these past 2 months
  • Tankers really enjoyed this FTX compared to the last one
Cons:
  • Parallel planning between Viking & Sabre Leadership needed improvements
  • ARMA is after me, knocked heavily uncon because of tank flips
  • Succession through Chain of Command has to be improved. Just calling it up properly
  • SBFs were rough because of micro-terrain. Turned into Action & Assaults
  • A couple of Troopers had issues loading into Servers initially
  • A lot of our 19K Tankers didn't show up, but most communicated that prior
  • Difficult to fight in the dark with M1A2s, there's an M1A1 variant with better NVGs

Pro
  • Excellent work from all SLs and troopers
  • Good comms and updates from all
  • Effectively FRAGO'd the plan and executed a hasty flank
  • Successfully completed the mission

Con
  • Sabre units occasionally pushed units further away than where we could mutually support each other, resulting in some squads taking excess contact

Pros:
  • Fun and enjoyable operation as a whole for myself
  • Great communication and quick response on comms from ATLAS units
  • Finally get to test new medical equipment from our new modpack in live scenario

Cons:

  • Not exactly a con. Default loadouts lacked new equipment so most of medics had to regear.
  • Extremely large ammount of communications to track on multiple LR nets which leds to some missing calls.
  • Could done better as 7 for the first time.

Pros:
  • Excellent input on planning from Stewart.B Knights.Z Whitfield.L resulting in prediction of greatest threats, especially the successful interdiction of extremely large QRF force
  • Great cooperation with SABRE-3 (Kubbo.A Lamb.J Ronen.R) as Bravo Wing, responsive, in formation and effective.
  • Great communication with SABRE-1, wished to be kept informed, but allowed Bravo Wing the appropriate level of independence.
  • In total, destroyed a company sized armoured element of T72s, a platoon of ATGM BMP-2s, and about two platoons worth of AT capable infantry. Most of those were within the interdicted QRF coming into the AO from SW.
  • Tactical choice of HE over MPAT paid off when we literally ran out of coax and .50 ammo.
  • Two absolutely epic on-line assaults by full platoon in the main part of the AO. Glorious to watch.
  • Special commendation deserved by Robert.L who despite being a fresh trooper knew his gunnery commands in and out and whose calm, skill and great aim have definitely carried the day for SABRE-4.
  • Great to see the "story mode" weekly SPs by 2nd Platoon Bravo paying off big time in an intense and fun FTX!

Cons:
  • QRF size definitely too large for a two-tank wing to hold, we were really lucky with our choice of terrain and ability to ambush the enemy. The QRF itself was the size of or even larger than many forces we meet in full Operations as a whole deployment. We were very lucky to have come off with only one black casualty (myself).
  • Lack of NVG mode in the tank visors, made it very hard for drivers.
  • Infantry in Viking-1 milling in front of our tank despite being advised on their SR radio that we're crossing behind their position. Decided to fall back across the path of our tank or literally sit in the bush in front of us. If not for my thermals, we would've turned several troopers into tread grease. Did not react to engine noise, yells from turned out driver - I had to give warning shots with my .50 to get a reaction and have them move away. Not sure if lack of awareness or technical issues on comms. SL was well aware of our intent.
  • Supposed "armed non-combatants" in the eastern forest at the very end of FTX - if I see thermal signatures of military age males with RPGs and rifles, on their backs or in their hands, running around in a forest I just took tracers from, they're eating HE.

Pros:
  • Fantastic squad cohesion and execution of orders/movement given.
  • Good squad work at supporting each other through various phases.
  • Good work from sierra crew safeguarding our flanks and providing overwatch.
  • Neutralised enemy artillery and entrenched positions.
  • Brilliant work from 5-6 in keeping us on line.
  • As a platoon we moved well together and knew our taskings.
  • Good tempo and aggression from all.
  • Sabre utilised short range to gloriously update us on intent.
  • Continuation of a month long campaign.
Cons:
  • Endex called early which led to confusement and loss of focus. Also led to guns being turned to safety from firing.
  • 1x enemy IDF round landed directly on one fireteam. No further fire or adjustments subsequently and was recieved out of the blue. IDF become DF.
  • Feel a better cohesion between Viking and Sabres is needed. Looking at jumping on adjacent squads/tankers short ranges and looking to better intertwine Sierra and Sabres as a whole. Monitoring Sabres platoon comms etc. Remove the 'Us and Them' mentality.
