Assistant Squad Leader Opening

Charlie Company 1-7 is accepting applications for an Assistant Squad Leader position for an airborne infantry squad in second Platoon Charlie Company. Everyone interested regardless of meeting all formal requirements are encouraged to apply. ( The squad 1/2/C/1-7 )

Your Duties:


  • Handle all administrative duties related to the role of a section leader
  • Be present and available for your trooper's needs
  • Maintain the gold standard of section practices we provide in Charlie Company First Battalion

Minimum Requirements:


  • Listed below is the process and requirements for billet selection for ASL for all Troopers across the Regiment.
    • Be in good standing with no active negative actions.
    • Maintained the MOS billet 11B for a minimum of 30 days prior to application.
    • Be at the minimum rank of Specialist or higher upon recommendation
    • Submit a letter of recommendation from your current SL as well as a letter of interest
    • Applications received prior to Sept 18th will be reviewed by Company Staff.

Know ye that reposing special trust and confidence in the patriotism, valor, fidelity and abilities of

Lieutenant Colonel LaCombe.M

I do appoint him a COLONEL in the 7th Cavalry Regiment as such from this 03NOV22. This officer will therefore carefully and diligently discharge the duties of the office to which appointed by doing and performing all manner of things therein to belonging.

I do strictly charge and require those officers and others personnel of lesser rank to render such obedience as it is due an officer of his grade and position. These officers are to observe and follow such orders and directions from time to time as may be given by the General Staff of the 7th Cavalry Regiment or other superior officers acting in accordance with the rules and regulations of the 7th Cavalry Regiment.

This commission is to continue in force during the pleasure of the General Staff of the 7th Cavalry Regiment under the provisions of those rules and regulations relating to officers of the 7th Cavalry Regiment.
