The 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment, often referred to as "7thCav" is a long-standing Military Realism (MILSIM) unit that primarily plays first person military shooter/simulation games. The Regiment was founded in October 2002, making it one of the oldest clans in the areas the Regiment covers. We have over 500 active members within the Cav across games like Arma 3, Hell Let Loose (PC & Console), DCS World, Ready or Not, and now Squad. We are focused on tactical realism and immersive game-play, utilizing military training, tactics, and procedures that have been adapted for use in the virtual world. If you decide to enlist you must be 18+ years old with no game or VAC bans within the past 5 years for any reason. Pilots Wanted! | DCS World | A/ACD
Help populate our DCS Tactical Public Server or participate during a curated mission! This mission occurs weekly on our DCS operations every Tuesday at 0100Z and Saturday at 0000Z for 2 hours. S3 Operations/Public Staff will conduct an official operation open to the public. S3 Mission Controller will need to record attendance and post an AAR per standard Cav operation SOP. For all leadership slots, this is a great opportunity to gain battlefield leadership experience for ALL members, no matter your level of experience or rank! Notify S3 if you wish to participate in combined arms for ground roles operating armor, SAM sites, or logistics.

The S5 Department has an opening for the S5 2IC position.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Be in good standing with no active negative actions
  • Be at the minimum rank of:
    • Second Lieutenant (O-1) for Officers
    • Warrant Officer 1 (W-1) for Warrant Officers
    • Corporal (E-4) for Non-Commissioned Officers
  • Letter of Interest from applicant to First Lieutenant Hobbs.T, Captain Ratcliff.M and Major General Baeder.S for review
  • Leadership experience within S5 is preferred, but not required
Expectations:
  • Read and respond to PMs from the S5 department Comms
  • Provide monthly S5 departments report for CSC meeting
  • Ensure all members of S5 have the correct access to all resources required to allow them to fulfill their job requirements
  • Read and respond to external clans that try and reach the 7th Cavalry on our forums
  • Track department staffing and advise on staffing levels
  • Be ready to talk with external clan members on Teamspeak
  • Personnel Accountability - Work with S5 HHQ to Monitor transfers, LOA's (incl ELOA), AWOLs, PAF Logs, and Discharges for changes to Departmental strength.
  • Ensure the ASFM tracker is up to date.
  • Verbally Counsel Staff Leads/AO Leads as required to ensure adherence to rules/regulations/policies/codes.
  • Ensure disciplinary documentation is reviewed and sentenced where appropriate.

Memorial messages for Muska

Evening all,

We have the memorial details for Muska's (https://7cav.us/threads/10837/) funeral proceedings. As a regiment, General Chance.JT is organising 10 trees to be planted, and relevant info sent to the family, on behalf of us all. In the mean time, I'd like to organise an additional item from the regiment to Muska's family.

We have a way to send notes of remembrance. I want to collate any and all messages you have together, with a pre-text from the regiment first. We only have a short time to put this together. Around 48 hours, so please pass the word out to those you see in your squads and team speak.

Please write your message in this thread, and I'll collect them together along with your Cav name in the final message from the Regiment.
