The 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment, often referred to as "7thCav" is a long-standing Military Realism (MILSIM) unit that primarily plays first person military shooter/simulation games. The Regiment was founded in October 2002, making it one of the oldest clans in the areas the Regiment covers. We have over 500 active members within the Cav across games like Arma 3, Hell Let Loose (PC & Console), DCS World, Ready or Not, and now Squad. We are focused on tactical realism and immersive game-play, utilizing military training, tactics, and procedures that have been adapted for use in the virtual world. If you decide to enlist you must be 18+ years old with no game or VAC bans within the past 5 years for any reason. Pilots Wanted! | DCS World | A/ACD
Help populate our DCS Tactical Public Server or participate during a curated mission! This mission occurs weekly on our DCS operations every Tuesday at 0100Z and Saturday at 0000Z for 2 hours. S3 Operations/Public Staff will conduct an official operation open to the public. S3 Mission Controller will need to record attendance and post an AAR per standard Cav operation SOP. For all leadership slots, this is a great opportunity to gain battlefield leadership experience for ALL members, no matter your level of experience or rank! Notify S3 if you wish to participate in combined arms for ground roles operating armor, SAM sites, or logistics.

S1 Department 1IC Position Opening​


S1 is responsible for the administration of personnel and the administration requirements for the Regiment. Unique to our virtual community, S1 also has responsibility for the visual representation of each trooper as a unique individual, through standards conformant MILPACS and Uniforms.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum rank of Sergeant [E-5], or
  • Minimum rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2 [W-2], or
  • Minimum rank of 2nd Lieutenant [O-1]
  • No Negative Action
Expectations:
  • Oversee the execution of duties assigned to the department by the Regiment with respect to the upkeep and maintenance of personnel records.
  • You will be responsible for the ongoing health and morale of the department in all respects
  • Ensure that minimum expectations are being met, updates are being conducted to standard. Counsel Clerks who fail to meet minimum standards. Enforce all departmental rules and regulations.
  • Perform administrative duties associated with the Department, such as helpdesk tickets, processing disciplinary actions, or any task delegated by IMO HQ.
  • Create and maintain record citations, or delegate as needed
  • Perform other duties as required

Bandit Platoon Squad Leader Opening

We are looking for a leader in our assault teams.​

Charlie Company 1-7 is accepting applications for a Squad Leader position for an airborne infantry squad in First Platoon Charlie Company. Everyone interested regardless of meeting all formal requirements is encouraged to apply.

Your Duties:
  • Be an exemplary combat leader and teacher
  • Maintain the gold standard of section practices we provide in Charlie Company First Battalion
  • Be present and available for your trooper's needs
  • Handle all administrative duties related to the role of a section leader

Minimum Requirements:
  • Listed below is the process and requirements for billet selection for SL for all Troopers across the Regiment.
    • Be in good standing with no active negative actions.
    • Maintained the MOS billet 11B for a minimum of 30 days prior to application.
    • Maintained the MOS billet of ASL for a minimum of 30 days prior to selection or submit an application as a Trooper.
    • Submit a letter of recommendation from your current SL as well as a letter of interest
  • Exceptions to the above may be made based on the needs of the regiment, and with a waiver approved by the Chief of Staff pursuant to the policy and submitted by the receiving Company Staff. If you are interested in leading but lack any of these requirements, approach your Chain of Command.
  • Applications received prior to 27NOV21 will be reviewed by Company Staff.
