The 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment, often referred to as "7thCav" is a long-standing Military Realism (MILSIM) unit that primarily plays first person military shooter/simulation games. The Regiment was founded in October 2002, making it one of the oldest clans in the areas the Regiment covers. We have over 500 active members within the Cav across games like Arma 3, Hell Let Loose (PC & Console), DCS World, Ready or Not, and now Squad. We are focused on tactical realism and immersive game-play, utilizing military training, tactics, and procedures that have been adapted for use in the virtual world. If you decide to enlist you must be 18+ years old with no game or VAC bans within the past 5 years for any reason. Pilots Wanted! | DCS World | A/ACD
Help populate our DCS Tactical Public Server or participate during a curated mission! This mission occurs weekly on our DCS operations every Tuesday at 0100Z and Saturday at 0000Z for 2 hours. S3 Operations/Public Staff will conduct an official operation open to the public. S3 Mission Controller will need to record attendance and post an AAR per standard Cav operation SOP. For all leadership slots, this is a great opportunity to gain battlefield leadership experience for ALL members, no matter your level of experience or rank! Notify S3 if you wish to participate in combined arms for ground roles operating armor, SAM sites, or logistics.

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of one of our own, Private Long.DG of 4/2/B/1-7, on July 1st, 2023. On behalf of the entire Regiment, General Staff extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and all those who knew him. He will be honored and remembered by the Cav through our Arlington Memorial Cemetery. Rest in peace, brother!

Please be kind to one another, and come together to celebrate the life of Private Long.DG. For the next 30 days, we encourage everyone to honor the fallen with our official mourning band avatars.

SPD Coordinator Position Opening​

The Office of the Chief of Staff is looking to take on new Special Projects Division (SPD) Coordinators which will result in a transfer to SPD as a Primary Billet.

Requirements
  • Currently in good standing with no NFA
  • Be a current member of First Battalion, Second Battalion, or Auxiliary Combat Detachment
  • To either be a current or former:
    • Corporal (E-4) for Enlisted/NCOs
    • Warrant Officer 1 (W-1) for Warrant Officers
    • 2nd Lieutenant (O-1) for Officers
  • Interested in working with a multitude of departments, games, and troopers of all billets as well as gathering information on the health of the Regiment
  • Social skills are a must as well as a desire to go out and become an expert of your assigned area

About the Role

SPD Coordinators function as an arm of the Aide to the Chief of Staff in administrating, tracking, and managing all the Departments and Games that fall under the Office of the Chief of Staff. More specifically, you will be focusing on supporting the Aide to the Chief of Staff in promoting the growth and health of the current and new games and supplying information and metrics the Chief of Staff may require. As an SPD Coordinator your role and placement may be subject to change as priorities within the Regiment shift.
