Platoon Sergeant Opening
B/ACD is accepting applications for a Platoon Sergeant position in 1st and B/ACD. All persons interested in the position,
regardless of meeting the minimum requirements or not, are encouraged to apply.
Send one forum private message with your letter of interest addressed to all of the following: First Sergeant Wiseman.L.
This letter of interest must be submitted no later than 2359Z, Friday 12APR24 to be considered.

Minimum Requirements
Listed below is the process for billet selection.
- Be in good standing with no active negative actions
- Maintained the MOS billet of SL for a minimum of 30 days prior to application.
- Be at the minimum rank of Sergeant or higher upon application.
- Submit an application upon position opening and following the application process.
Expected Duties
- General Duties
- Responsible for the ongoing health and morale of the Platoon in all respects.
- Be available to the troopers of the Platoon at all times when online.
- Perform administrative duties associated with the Platoon, i.e. reports, discipline.
- Train and directly supervise Squad Leaders
- Other duties as required.
- Daily Duties
- Take Care of Troopers - When on Discord be available for your troopers. Be prompt when responding to requests for assistance over Discord or the forums.
- Make an effort to meet with your Squad Leaders to build a rapport and ensure a positive working relationship with them.
- Spend time with troopers and leadership within your Platoon.
- Counseling - Issue appropriate counseling measures as required to ensure understanding...
Announcement Update to Reserves
Attention Members,
General Staff has made an adjustment to our Reserves Roster and how rank will work for certain members of the Reserve that qualify.
The change being made will affect those members considering retirement from the 7th Cavalry. Instead of retiring, members will have the option to join the reserves and retain their current rank as long as they meet the current eligibility for retirement.

- If you are currently a reservist who retired in the past prior to joining the reserves we will be automatically updating your rank.
- If you are in the reserves and were eligible for retirement prior to joining the reserves but transferred directly to the reserves instead of retiring you can file a Transfer PAF from reserves to reserves and include your request to have your rank adjusted. This will be reviewed by Regimental Staff and then processed.
- If you are retired and want to rejoin the reserves you can follow the re-enlistment process and retain your rank.
All other aspects of reserves will remain unchanged. If you have questions please feel free to ask here and I will do my best to answer because I am sure others may have the same or similar question.
