Theatre - Persian Gulf
1. Situation Overview:
Friendly forces have been deployed to the Persian Gulf region. Initial operations have produced mixed outcomes; however, the adversary's major build-up of materiel and personnel has been successfully halted. Friendly forces have secured Qeshm Island as well as two key airfields located on the mainland. A Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), Mechanized Infantry, is currently positioned at Haradarya to provide security for critical assets and incoming air supply assets. Three mobile anti-air (AA) units are in place to defend the forward airfield.
While key terrain has been seized and enemy build-up has been disrupted, further ground forces are required to consolidate gains, reinforce positions, and counter continued OPFOR activity.
