Pros:
  • Refreshing OP idea
  • Vehicle use was incredibly fun
  • Atlas on the ball
  • Platoon operated decently well once verbal orders issued.
Cons:
  • ACRE
  • Better structured plan would've benefitted assault greatly.
  • A company staff would've significant helped with the organization of logistical, platoon, and medical needs.
If you're missing from this list, contact me via PM to correct the issue.

Pros:
  • The Debut of Burton & The Fields (Burton.P, Summerfield.P, Whitfield.L, Field.Q)
  • Consistent & Clear Communications between ATLAS 1-1, ATLAS 1-2 & CYPHER 1-7 on LR 15
  • Chaotic, but very very enjoyable Operation
  • No Black Casualties under ATLAS Care
  • ATLAS Troopers remained in command of every MCI
  • All Cypher Squad Medics were excellent, triaging their Squads prior to ATLAS Medics arrival
  • Squad Leaders keep sectors of security & relinquished Squad Medics to ATLAS control at CCPs/MCIs
Cons:
  • Where those covenants?
  • All ATLAS-1 spawned without Radios
  • Constant rolling CCPs/MCIs, little breaks
  • Extended response time initially due to no dedicated Medical Vehicle / Resupply
  • ACRE issues caused most Medical Calls to be relayed Face to Face

Pros:

  • Cool OP idea
Cons:
  • Acre issues the entire time, eventually leading to complete loss of radio usability.
  • Could not perform my duties because I would not use radios at all

And some others that I forgot about.

Pros:
  • When the team was together, we had decent coordination.
  • HALO, so fun as.
  • Ambient and immersive.
Cons:
  • ACRE, as usual. Thank you Second Lieutenant Mazinski.H for doing some testing to figure out what was happening.
  • Rubber Banding. Again, thank you Second Lieutenant Mazinski.H for doing some testing to figure out what was happening.
  • Platoon plan was bare bones.
  • Company plan was bare bones.

Things to Improve for Mission Maker: Second Lieutenant Mazinski.H
  • Warthog tires were shot out on every Warthog we encountered.
    • To fix this, please add +1 tire to every Warthog cargo. This can be done for pre-placed units by writing a script that activates in the init.sqf for the mission file. Refer to old Tac2 vehicle spawn mechanics for details.
  • The assaults could have been more cinematic.
    • To do this, communicate and work with OICs more to coordinate assaults so you can queue cool halo music for the assaults. When the OIC signs up, make sure they know this.
    • You can also do a trigger, where upon entering the trigger, a local script is executed for the entity inside the trigger to play a select music file. Refer to "this playMusic" in the wiki for details.
  • There was no real company leadership.
    • When having multiple platoons, make sure to have a company slot so that they can coordinate things better.
    • Additionally, when a company element is introduced, have them brief the different platoon elements before briefing the SLs. IDK if this is SOP but it should be. As an SL, I don't much care what the other platoon is doing. All I need to know is where they are, so I don't shoot them or walk into their lane.
  • ACRE issues; acre tries assigning radios to different people at different times. When ACRE cannot do this, it causes a hang, thus, lag. To my count, this happened once every few minutes of in game time. Ontop of this, the radios did not work for select groups of people. Thus, communication between elements was abysmal through no fault of their own.
    • Personally, I would replace it at this point. I remember having ACRE problems months ago, and people are still complaining about it in AARs and during debriefs, and in game. Issues with ACRE can make a good operation bad, and a bad operation terrible. Replace it, or find a fix for it. IDK how to fix it, so I would opt for a replacement.

Pros:
  • Squad did very well with following orders
  • Squad had a confirmed 48 kills
  • OP was very well done set up wise.
Cons:
  • Squad had 3 deaths
  • Objectives were rushed into blindly at some points.
  • ACRE issues absolutely decimated radio communications. Had to rely on runners.

Pros:

  • Had fun selecting our targets and engaging where we thought was required. Not strictly SOP but we had fun and nobody raised any issues with it.
Cons:
  • Acre issues with Infidel means we never got called in officially, had to be relayed through Zeus/Admiral-1

Pros:

  • Wanted to fly the Pelican since I first played Halo in high school....got to do it...it rocked.
  • Action packed mission.
  • Smokes, map markers...loved seeing people get creative and clever marking CAS and, reinsert, and resupply when no radios worked.
  • Had a lot of fun and would love to do a few more Halo missions.
Cons:
  • Acre issues as others pointed out.
  • Too many types of cargo pods. It should be 3 maximum, heavy ammo (rockets) and grenades, gun ammo, and medical. Too much time loading things up solo as a pilot especially with vehicle requests.
  • With the amount of vehicle and supply requests future missions should have more pelicans or at least someone at base helping with loading.
  • Landing platforms look great but are prone to glitching when trying to load cargo pods and blowing everything up.

Pros:

  • Great theme for Op
  • Atlas was doing a great job keeping everyone up and fighting along with section medics
  • Great adaptation no bitching about non-working ACRE, we tried it few times, afterwards we rolled with it and delivered
  • Non-working ACRE gave us the opportunity to test our adaptation and overall handling of unexpected situations
Cons:
  • ACRE Issues but that happens
  • Desynch
  • A little more planning next time

Pros:

  • Historical Cav Mission (40+ players and HALO)
  • Op was considered "Badass" by majority of troopers
  • hearing Ball say "were good, were here to save you" and immediately get blown up
  • 1-2 was able to defend the NW flank during the turning maneuver and in doing so defended against armor, gunship and a half platoon str of infantry while also taking and holding ground

Cons:
  • Had a crippling TS issue that did not allow my acre to fully activate and was unable to hear, talk or use a radio and it required my game to restart
  • DZRP was poor planning, we split up a force that dropped split to begin with. doing so was potentially deadly for our company for the enemy motorized force; if reactive, would have easily gunned us down with superior fire power.
  • Basic squad tactics were lost due to the Special Forces feeling of ODST, the basics had to be reinforced by leadership enorder to see safe and correct tactics be executed in a timely matter
  • Leadership on FT level had issues corralling troopers due to the above statement and therefor soured the taste of the operation through frustration of command
  • Ball said the equivalent of "I retire in 1 week and my kid was born today, i cant wait to see him" and promptly took the universal karma
  • Assault on the airfield that involved the Turning maneuver executed by 1st platoon while second platoon completed the main assault, only saw my squad (Cypher 1-2) actually complete such a maneuver leaving my squad open and unsupported by what should have been 2 other squads and air support.
SL Remarks:
  • while at the Company RV 1st platoon should have gotten onto the pelican for an air assault. the following plan of completing a turning maneuver at the airfield would be greatly supplemented with a vertical envelopment using the pelican while 2nd plt assaults the main terminal. instead what we did, was go into enemy and friendly motorized and armor which resulted in 1 to 2 FF incidents and a dissolving of the deliberate assault plan, this resulted in a piecemeal engagement for the rest of the operation, incurring heavy losses.
