Pros:
  • Guys loved it they had a blast. Concept was well thought out.
  • These boys killed it to be honest out of three rounds to go 2-0-1 great work boys great stuff
  • Overall good stuff
Cons:
- Thoughts for future use. Perhaps open up AO in the red for each side to three to four columns.

Pros:
  • Intense fighting
  • Forces creative thinking in a linear game mode
  • Incentivizes zones of control at a local level
  • Good map choice
Cons:
  • Meat grinder
  • Felt on-the-fly adjustment was lacking
  • Severe lack of troopers paying attention to simple things & overall map awareness at an individual level
  • Don't like the feeling of tanks being an after-thought : we have 70 people who's quality of life is based off of what their armor gameplay is like.
    • Neutering them by making them too squishy (aka only lights & recons) seems redundant
    • Definitely consider no armor at all or allowing mediums / heavies in future iterations
Overall sentiment - Operation is a good idea. Punishes bad gunplay and rewards good gunplay massively - can be truly daunting for some of the less sweaty among us

Solids
  • First plan did not go to plan, but the roles it provided ended up working well.
  • Squad were all in place when needed.
  • Command chat was focused, not too loud or too quiet.
Improvements
  • One less grid square, north and south for the repair stations would have been huge in making the game more competitive on both sides. Not having outposts for upwards of 2 grid squares is quite a lot. We'd also actually get a chance to use our super fortresses! I did like the only usage of outposts.
  • I should have been tracking the shorter start time, during the second round.
  • People on both sides were out of bounds, we need to take a harsher hand on that in my opinion.

Pros: was fun. The OP was well defined and thought out. Comms were very good.

Cons: Change the name to Operation Bottleneck. Was very confined.

Pros:
  • Game mode was fun
  • Squad did well being the only infantry to make it behind enemy lines multiple times
Cons:
  • Objectives were too far apart for not being able to have spawns outside of set area and could not build any spawn behind enemy lines due to the center point not being capped.
  • Play area should be opened up to include an extra 2 columns to allow for more flow of 'sneaky' infantry/ pushing tactics.
  • Game turned into a meat grinder as soon as we were pushed back to our set areas due to not having spawns outside of it.
  • Not a "con" but could be an "improve", expand the number of objectives placed on the map so that when one is destroyed, we don't have to pause and rebuild and start over. Would also partially prevent accidental destroys of objective that is to be destroyed a specific way.

Pros:
  • Interesting concept.
  • Close AO made combat intense.
Cons:
  • Limited AO made recon very challenging.
  • Server hit reg/lag once again was terrible and seriously took away from enjoyment.

Pros:
  • The AO constraints to the two columns was challenging, but lead to tense gunfights especially going house to house around St.Mary's.
  • Limiting to satcheling of the repair station was a good decision.
  • New member had alot of fun.
  • We were tight and efficient on our match start with nodes/supply drops/defenses, really good job on that.
Cons:
  • VERY tough to take independent action as a 3-man squad, mostly augmented larger squads on the frontline.

Pros: First plan did not go to plan. Command Comms were very disorienting at the beginning on the Soviet first round for me.
2nd iteration allowed more cohesion, more garrisons, more precise communication.

Cons: Meat grinder

Pros:
  • Solid coordination and movement on both the team and squad levels
  • We very much enjoyed the thin AO, it ensured constant action for all squads in the meat grinder
  • Shoutout to Belmont.E for being a thorn in our side that whole second match while running the MG42
Cons:
  • If we run a similar op in the future, would be cool to make the center point live, which would affect where OPs could be placed. It would also create a second location that would need to be held/attacked.

Pros:
  • Fun operation overall, the ao restriction made it unique and created good frontline combat
  • Our commander planned the operation very well
Cons:
  • Would like to see that operation run in a bigger AO to allow Airborne and tanks to move around and do thier things a little bit.

Pros:
  • Good comms between SLs and commander
  • Fine with narrow AO
Cons:

  • Armor at heavy disadvantage with only light/recon vehicles plus narrow AO
  • no limits on AT, so we were a big target
  • objective being a repair station makes it difficult for tanks who can't target any enemy near the objective, plus repair stations can't be used anywhere else

Pros:
  • Loved it on defense
  • Great concept and execution over all
Cons:
  • Only 1 is make it a man power node or something that can only be dismantled by hand or satchel. Also would help defenders build up with decrease supply cool down

Pros:
  • Good fun match!
  • Good plans laid out at the start.
Cons:
  • Rep stations too easy to destroy with tank or rocket. Maybe nodes next time.
  • AO was a little constrained with a wide open map.

Pros:
  • Funneling AO restriction was a blast.
Cons:
  • No limit on AT when only allowed Lights and Recons is a hard balance
  • Difficult getting infantry to work with us.
  • Using a repair station or anything easily destroyed by an HE shell is not a good OBJ.
