Pros
  • Really good fun time, enjoyable theme with lots of fun moments
  • Good battle buddy care
  • Good individual drills
Cons
  • Chaotic, personnel mixed between squads, lack of control, fires were close to friendly manoeuvres
  • Infighting, some people were rejecting orders without sufficient justification and generally being argumentative.
  • Some personnel were late
  • Some personnel were left to die when it was not necessary

Pros
  • The mission was very immersive and enjoyable.
  • We managed to take the town and repel the German counter-attack.
  • The messengers were a godsend due to radio issues.
  • The chaos of the environment can sometimes contribute to the fun.
  • The medics had to make do with what they've got, and did an amazing job.
Cons
  • We couldn't maintain platoon cohesiveness, mostly in part to getting separated in the beginning but we were unable to fully reconsolidate.
  • I tried to get both of 1st platoon's squads to pull back towards the HQ building before enemy armor could cut them off from the center of town but we were unable to get traction. Some elements were dug into good defensive positions, but not pulling back per company's orders risked a communications breakdown.
  • I probably should've insisted on continuing to the DZRP instead of investigating the gunfire, there was a land nav failure on my part which led to us being at the wrong side of town as originally we were supposed to launch our attack from the ORP on the south side of town.

Pros:
  • Squad had no black tags
  • Squad as a whole did a great job
  • Mission was a LOT of fun
  • Everyone loved the atmosphere of the mission
  • Everyone loved the airborne jump
  • Everyone enjoyed the chaos
Cons:
  • Some other elements ignored the fact that Company was trying to consolidate somewhere and tried to adhere to the original plan which left a good portion of friendly manpower absent from the majority of the fight.

Pros:

  • Lot of Medical work to do over the entire operation.
  • Environment was cool and authentic.
  • Land nav in the pitch black was awesome
  • Top notch to S3 for putting this together very well made.
  • Little to no black tags which is always a pro.
Cons:
  • Both Platoons and overall Company did not seem to follow the plan one bit only 1-2 squads actually went to DZRP.
  • Lack of chest seals made it problematic for all infantry and medics ran out very quickly.
  • Unable to get people up due to SpO2 levels, this led to people being uncon for up to 30mins. (Had to wait naturally for it to recover and it was slow)
  • Mission felt very rushed at the end and ENDEX felt early (1 hour 24 mins) things were starting to get very good and mid mass cal ENDEX was called.

Non-7th Cavalry Within Element:
  • N/A

Pros:
  • Time Period
    • Love lack of modern equipment
  • Land Nav
    • Night-time land nav was super fun and challenging
  • Squad Fundamentals
    • Squad movements were solid
    • Great communication
    • Outstanding break contact
Cons:
  • Medical Equipment Missing
    • Lack of Chest Seals killed many
  • Squad Participation
    • Did not participate in attack on town
    • Only squad to make it to the DZRP (Or really tried to)
    • One solid contact whole operation
  • Plan
    • Whole squads and command elements went AWOL and ignored the pre-established plan
    • Very little attempt, if any, to correct course to plan
    • By the time we were all back on track, the operation was over
    • Insinuation that those that kept to the plan were in the wrong is crazy and out of touch
  • Map Markings
    • Need to ensure Side Chat is disabled to avoid abuse
  • Personal Leadership
    • I'll try harder in the future to ignore briefings/plans and instead "figure it out"
