Pros
  • New KAT medical system is a good new addition
  • Hanging out with the boys
  • Was simply a good time
  • Comms between squad was good

Cons:
  • There was a lack of action for troopers
  • The action that was received was to much for troopers to handle with lack of numbers
  • Movements on objectives were quicker than troops would have liked
  • WFW should be separate from the regular day in day out gameplay we normally have

Pros:
  • Excellent communication both squad-wise and platoon. Convoy net was utilized effectively.
  • Excellent individual soldiering, security was always set, mounts and dismounts were quick and crisp.
  • The squad maintained fluidity under fire. We were always moving (even in break-contacts) with a purpose.
  • Overall positive time from the members of Gun-1.
  • Preplanning resupply in our vics was clutch.

Cons:
  • "Some" training on the use of Stinger missile launchers may be needed.
  • Reconsolidation phase after 1st OBJ took entirely too long.
  • We can't keep rolling a platoon into the AO on the Domination mission and not expect to have our teeth kicked in.
  • Loss of CAS and CAP halfway through the OP really exacerbated the above point.
Notes:
  • If motorized/mechanized operations are going to be a continued theme, incorporating the repair/rearm vehicles (even if BLUFOR AI driven) should be given consideration.
  • OPFOR Artillery was briefed as expected on the Main AO, but not for the side mission and felt pretty non-organic.

Pros:
  • Tons of fun and great mission. Well done guys.
  • Very nice to learn that we can attach the boats (I think called "RIB"" maybe) to the underbelly of the Blackhawk helo for drop and subsequent FRIES or helocast. Never knew about this cool feature. We should use this more because it's a really cool concept and additional operational capability when called for.
  • Crew chief Davis.D performed very well with CRM and coordination.
Cons:
  • Probably need to focus on our comms/multiple radios/CEOI. Multiple times there were suboptimal comms with CAP not being readily contactable. Multiple radios and multi-tasking and cross-comms are a fact of life for all pilots, both A2A and G2A, as is inter-aircraft intercom, and 5 and FAC etc. We just need to get back in the swing and continue to improve our responsiveness and effectiveness here.
  • Re-supply crates were either problematic or borked as we couldn't carry or drag them to the aircraft. (possibly over-loaded or too heavy or maybe just improper container/box/crate. Also, optimize the crate loadout appropriate to what Ground Forces are likely to request to minimize "shopping list" so re-sup can be done and delivered in the most expeditious manner.
Notes:
  • Halo should be always be disabled (and any thought of TP's, absent an ARMA glitch) when pilots are active and slotted to perform transport tasking.
  • This may have been done, but I emphasize placing multiple TFAR Communications Towers throughout map (especially line-of-sight from base to AO, on highest altitude ridge lines) so as to avoid comms static or hiccups. They really do work wonders.

just me

Pros
  • Great initial mission design
  • It was nice that the main airbase had tons of equipment
  • Multiple objectives were great for element leaders to flex their leadership skills and make solutions to open-ended problems
  • Active OPFOR air elements made Alpha Co's job much more difficult but still doable, whereas usually it's pretty simple and goes to plan
  • Great leadership on the ground

Cons:
  • The airbase was too close to the objective for fixed-wing
  • desync hampered both BLUFOR and OPFOR vehicle function(such as flares, map interaction)
  • Issues with map file spawning constant helicopters at the corners of the map made it very annoying for Alpha co, and it didn't make sense the way they came in and what their tasking was.
  • If there is no Chaos, there is no clear way I know of for ground to call in air support from a fixed-wing asset even if they really need it at that moment
  • It didn't feel like we were facing a responsive, planned force like we were. OPFOR felt more static.

ATTENTION NEEDED

I don't have a master list for this operation. I cannot process this operation until a master list is generated.
I’ll be getting it thrown up before the start of this afternoons OP, just not at the computer right now. Apologies for the delay.
