Pros:
  • Excellent performance from squad through adversity.
  • Genuinely felt like a real warzone, non stop.
  • Fun throughout, absolute blast, a lot of laughs.
  • Recon felt more like a real life recon squad. Utilised drone well.
  • A lot of realistic red air.
  • No loss of frames despite enemy numbers.
  • "Single Russians in your area" Heavy target saturation.
  • 6/5 Did well to keep structure.
  • AI smart and reactive to intent. Reinforce in different areas, flanking maneuvers, aggressive and accurate.

Cons:
  • Peer to peer contact takes a lot of rounds.
  • Scar H ammo heavy and lacking amount in magazine.
  • Spread out thin in AO.
  • Due to mission scenario ACE reports lacking.
  • Vanilla items in vehicles.
  • Capture menu overlay.
A enjoyable welcome back!

Pros:

  • Fantastic start to the new year and a great first op back
  • Base domination file was a lot of fun, I do enjoy pre-made ops files but I absolutely wouldn't mind doing more on the pre-made file like today
  • The most kills I've ever gotten in a single operation by a LOT. Didn't begin tallying until about 30 minutes in, but in that time I counted:
    • 86 pilots and 53+ aircraft kills, of which 21 fixed-wing and 32 rotary-wing, with no loss of my aircraft on my part though it came close a couple times
      • 14 MIG-29, 6 SU-25, 1 To-201 Shikra, 18 MI-8, 13 MI-24, 1 MI-28
    • Got a few fun strikes coordinated with CHAOS-1 Kastor.K who did a fantastic job in a difficult environment
  • HOG-1 Villmarsson.L did some real pretty gun runs and bomb strikes before having to leave
  • Zeus did a great job keeping things interesting, spawning tunguskas etc to complicate the job

Cons:

  • None from me personally, the amount of red air might have caused problems for rotary so something to keep in mind but for me that just made the op all the more fun in the end

Me

Pros:
  • Really fun
  • Felt like we had to fight for it, so the challenge was rewarding
  • Grabbed some guys and we successfully destroyed a enemy HQ
  • Comms with Buffalo-1 were great

Cons:
  • Low turnout, but it's expected for the first OP of the year.

Pros:
  • Lots of medical to do tonight, multiple surgeries, multiple red tags.
  • Good communication when working with patients both conscious and unconscious.
  • Air assets did an amazing job getting us into the AO and protecting us from OpFor assets.

Cons:
  • Medical menu issues involving surgeries and AED use (Perform Open Reduction did not pop up for my 2nd Atlas member/ AEDs mess up ACE self-interact and medical menu depending on how the mods are set up).
  • OpFor air was a bit overwhelming.
  • No real use for medical vehicles unless it is a longer operation, we only used it for initial transport at the start.

Warrant Officer 1 Hamm.C "Hooker"
Pros:
  • Really great start out of the gate with this first new year, post furlough OP. It was a total blast and great to be back.
  • I didn't know really what to think of doing an OP on the Domination file, but it turned out really good. Great job MM, MC and GUN-6
  • Enjoyed the FRAGO nature of this OP. While I prefer more of a formal OPORD and more planning, this was a ton of fun.
  • Excellent Comms and coord with GUN-5, Goel.B.
  • Lightening and Hog did a great job with very red air, target rich environment. Without their competent/expeditious CAP engagements, the sheer amount of red air would have likely either a) grounded BUFFALO, or b) got us all killed trying to instract (lol) into LZ's.

Cons:
  • Low turnout but this was totally anticipated as this was the first OP back after the new year.
  • Unfortunately, Alpha rotary turnout was singular; just me piloting, so no crew, no BUFF-2.
  • Red air needs to be tempered/scaled as it did seem like a non-stop onslaught.
  • Small map size. Flights were extremely short as AO was right around the corner from base, like very close.

Element Callsign: Gunslinger-6
Element Leader: First Lieutenant Sam.T

Pros:
  • Domination mission set is much more conducive to casual OPs like this than Liberation (much more concentrated spawns, less random events occurring outside the AO, etc...).
  • Platoon performed well despite low turnout (expected from the first OP of the year).
  • Objective was completed despite significant (borderline overwhelming) OPFOR presence.
  • Amazing performance from our Alpha compliment (tons of prosecuted red air, excellent rotary access despite contested airspace).
  • Platoon reconsolidated effectively after MASCAL caused by enemy IDF, and were able to re-attack the objective.

Cons:
  • Enemy IDF was rough. The chat message stating that "you've been observed" followed by artillery within 10-seconds was... suboptimal. Ranging shots and an opportunity to conduct appropriate battle drills are key to ensuring a good gameplay experience.
  • Low turnout (mentioned above).
  • Red air spawns, despite being awesome for our CAP pilot, were excessive (this has since been addressed by S3).
