Element Callsign: LIGHTNING-1
Element Leader: CW3.Sutodoreh.W 'Scooter'

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element: CW3.Sutodoreh.W 'Scooter'

Pros: Great pacing, lots of action, excellent comms with both HOG as well as CHAOS. Lots of targets on ground and in air (21 air kills, 14 MBTs or IFVs/APCs, 6 (8?) SAM sites and several infantry strikes/stationary weapons). Mason.H made the right judgment calls a couple of times for Type-3 when armoured platoons spawned in and once Troops in Contact when three MBTs came within 50m of friendlies

Cons: None really, excellent operation shoutout to our mission controllers and leadership!

Pros:
  • Liked the mission
  • Teams worked good
  • Was fun
Cons:
  • Dismounting on X
  • Last Objective was rushed
    • Would have prefered to end early
  • Should have been more aggressive
  • Should have dismounted more

Pros:
  • Cool mission, extremely heavy enemy air and armor but fair balanced to our AT capabilities, and LOVING lots of targets for CAS.
  • HOG and LIGHTNING great rapid execution of CAS controls, excellent keeping Red air at bay.
  • Amazing cooperation between units where Lightning (out of ammo) chased by Red-Air flew them over to friendly ground forces who were ready with stingers and AA to clear them out.
  • -6 very open to discussion about CAS attacks/weapon effects inside restricted areas, love discussing targets with -6.

Cons:
  • Maybe spent too long south of bridge... could have crossed river sooner or taken high elevation and gunned down enemy infantry in town.

Element Callsign: VIKING-6
Element Leader: Staff Sergeant Narramoor.A
Individuals in Element:
Lieutenant Colonel Dread.M
Chief Warrant Officer 2 Spitnale.K

Pros:
  • Plan survived contact with the enemy, stayed on goal with the timeframes to +/- 3 minutes.
  • Elements were incredibly effective tonight, neutralised a lot of contact with their stand-off range
  • Amazing vehicle crew, Dread and Spitnale were a good laugh, and were able to neutralise a significant amount of contact
  • Dynamic mission with HOG getting captured by enemies, very fun little side objective
  • Great work from support elements
  • Chaos & Lightning/Hog dealt with a lot of contact, and had a very enjoyable experience.
  • Good radio communication
  • Great framerates
  • Great Mission making
Cons:
  • Arma AI sucks. This resulted in low tasking for atlas and diminish the excellent positioning used by the mission maker.
  • I could exercise more brevity on the PLT net.

Pros:
  • Good levels of contact.
  • The PSG Stryker was an absolute vibe for the entire OP.
  • Logi and sustainment kept -5 busy, which meant I was also constantly occupied.
  • I managed at least one definite MBT kill, possibly two.
  • I got some light medical work done.
  • There was at least one solid 6-line call and a decent casualty handoff. It was good to see the CLS>Platoon Medic>Atlas workflow.
Cons:
  • Mechanized operations are still not conducive to enjoyment for Atlas teams. Lower casualty numbers and long periods mounted in vehicles with limited visibility led to a lackluster OP for the medics.
  • The disparity in performance between OPFOR and BLUFOR meant that both objectives were cleared within an hour, with minimal injuries. Godfather displayed excellent flexibility, adding two objectives to the mission. But even then, these were handled with no issue.
  • Having the logistics capacity tied to a combat vehicle meant that one Atlas vehicle was left behind during the assault. It wasn't able to be repaired for upwards of 20 minutes, and even once fixed, it had to be done via Zeus intervention.

Pros
:
  • Good mission, good design, and nice preparation with map markup.
  • Excellent, detailed, and comprehensive OPORD. Very nice!
  • Ground Forces actions were fun to watch from the air and on CTAB.
  • Excellent comms with VIKING-5.
  • Excellent coordingation with VIKING-5 for a successful and safe resupply.
  • Had an overall good time despite not much work to do and few re-inserts/resupply taskings.
Cons:
  • Unfortunate shootdown, presumably Tunguska because it was 2 missiles, one right behind the other. Successful autorotation, no injury and bird not destroyed. Sometimes I wonder if these are really fair because they are total 100% helicopter killers and nothing can be done about it. Perhaps rotary flight should just remain totally grounded until all Tunguska threats are confirmed to be neutralized by CAS assets.
  • No Repair/Rearm/Refuel trucks at FOB Muska. Since I generally hate Zeus intervention (unless absolutely necessary) I opted to manually repair all the damaged helo systems manually (20+ damaged components with toolkit only) but Hatchet H-60 damage/repair have issues. Even after everything was partially repaired, still had problems in the cockpit and no possible engine start. Currently I only see 3 solutions to this: a) Full repair via the repair truck, b) Zeus intervention to heal it, or just det the bird and rtb somehow. That's about it until they fix it. This is why we should have the trucks at all MOBs and FOBs.
