Pros:
  • Great work by all aviation units, everyone was excellent in their performance of their role and teamwork.
  • Pub player did well and communicated well.
  • Plenty of fires, lots of work, had to rearm four times.
Cons:
  • In the beginning I had a massive lag spike and apparently the aircraft went down, had to get picked up by CSAR.
  • Mod glitch with Co-Pilot in camera, weapons not tracking; known glitch but kind of annoying.

Pros:

  • Atlas teams did great regarding saving who they could despite overwhelming odds.
  • The information provided by SLs was excellent tonight! Made dispatch very easy.
  • First-aide at a trooper/CLS level seemed very good.
  • CoC was followed effectively multiple times. Take-up time was minimal.
Cons:
  • The amount of contact far out scaled the capacity of the platoon to handle it.
  • The town was not conducive to CCPs at all. Atlas regularly found themselves on the rear line holding security while also trying to manage casualties.
  • OP quickly changed from "extract civilians" to "survive." Felt like the halfway point largely lost the overall objective.

Pros:
  • CFF from Bandit1/4 on point both using the Bravo Co method and (presumably) Charlie Co CFF methods props to Abate, Rhodahl and Norman
  • Both motar gunners picked up how to use the motars insanley quick leading to fast rounds on target
  • 100+ HE rounds fired with both CFF from other squads and LOS firing from OP
  • Glad to get to use motars they arent used enough in ops
Cons:
  • Lodouts didnt include 60mm motars and ammo causing longer time to get ready to set off
  • First SL was a not experienced as a motar team leader leading to them to leave after the chaotic first assault, also leading to me having no platoon radio when i took over.
  • First assault was chaotic and Bandit1/2 were wiped and bandit 4/ atlas was last remaining.
  • No mutual support between Bandit 1/2 due to positioning
  • Gun jammed after 3 rounds from first contact in the mission possible bug with new scrips

Pro:
Chaotic but in a good way.
Lots of work for Atlas.
Triage was exceptional, even under intense pressure.

Con:
Needed to break contact faster. Should have established a fall back position when we realized the VDV were going to beat us to the town.
Pacing was very aggressive.
Completely caught off guard by the VDV from the get go, had no time to react. Were on our heels the entire first half of the OP.
Squads were not in mutual support in the first half.

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Pros:
  • Overwhelm Odds*
    • *Needs to be closely regulated and built up
    • Threat of loss can be nice
  • Escape & Evade
    • Nice organic moment
  • Mission Failed

Cons:
  • Side Chat
  • Scaled for a Company
    • We did not have a Company
  • Pacing
    • In-Contact immediately arriving at objective
  • Support Aircraft
    • Late to initial contact
    • Not enough aircraft for enemy force
  • Support Medics
    • Medic-to-rifleman ratio off with too many medics
  • Board Procedure
    • Prepare and establish LZ prior to helicopters landing
  • Platoon Communication
    • Breakdown of CoC
    • Intent muddied
  • Black Tags
    • 10 dead but 4 members

Pros:
  • Exceptional work from all aviation, stellar work.
  • Was able to perform 2 successful CSAR missions.
  • Lots of work to do throughout the OP, the beginning was back and forth inserts.
  • Great comms from air assets, and from ground.
  • Extremely hot PZ for exfil, took several 40mm but managed no loss of airframe.
Cons:
  • What are cons?

Non-Cav Personnel Within Element:

Pros:
  • Tons of contact
  • Combined support aspect
  • Not the typical shooty shooty flanky flanky easy op.
Cons:
  • The situation report was a little misleading causing or more casual approach. This for me was a pro too, but I can see it as being a con from a leading/planning perspective.
  • Kits need to be reviewed. A lot of things missing or odd. (ie having 203 ammo to mark targets but not actually being able to grab a rifle with a 203 on it as infidel).
  • Not sure if it was a server performance, but I did see ai eating multiple shots before reacting as if they were hit. I could see blood register on targets with binos and a slight flinch as people around me engaged targets. However, they kept charging and attacking as if not hit.
  • Support assets were late because of issues causing defense to collapse with overwhelming numbers almost on initial contact.

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Second Lieutenant Stetchkov.A

Non-Cav Personnel Within Element:
N/A

Pros:
  • Great mission concept/design/execution. Lots of fun.
  • All Aviation personnel were superstars. A+ team work and flight symbiosis were exceptional. VFR SA at proximity was safe and separation well maintained.
  • BUFFALO Flight had near constant tasking...lots of stick time.
  • CRM/Comms between PC and CC were excellent.
  • CC Stetchkov.A provided accurate/sustained direct/suppressive fire, delivering more than 25k rounds downrange.
  • BUFFALO Flight comms were fantastic despite some on-the-fly adjustments that were well managed. Infidel and Ground comms were excellent. Ship to ship comms were excellent.
  • 2x CSAR by BUFFALO-2- very successful.
  • BUFFALO-1 managed well despite taking 1x missile hit, minor damage only, thanks to evasive and CM's.
  • Extremely hot final extract was absolutely outstanding and highly successful. All Aviation assets worked well in tandem and remained engaged in the extract until successful completion.
Cons:
  • Carrier location/distance to shore was way too close. This results in a shorter flight and less reactionary time to potential threats. Also shorter enroute flight times tend to cut short potential last minute instructions/directives from ground leadership.
  • Birds were on the ground way too long. Blackhawks are big, loud, savory targets and staying on the ground too long is problematic and jeopardizes everybody and overall mission success.
  • Mission scaling and time did not allow for Phase 2. It would be nice to see Phase 2 (or an equivalent) organized into another OP for the future.

Non-Cav Personnel Within Element:

Pros:
  • Pristine individual performance from all squad members. Squad cohesion on point.
  • Interesting and investing mission scenario.
  • Brilliant helicopter based operation and fantastic performance from all rotary assets.
  • Top work from BANDIT-4 with their IDF support. Opportunity to practice CFF.
  • Rodahl.S supreme work with drone and CFF.
  • Took initiative and setup OP APOLLO. Allowed for a RP and CCP breather.
Cons:
  • As a leader I should of taken a more mutual support approach and move closer to the town.
  • Enemy VDV took a lot of rounds to go down.
  • Could of utilised more boots on the ground.
  • More hastiness needed in approach and exfil. Would love to see this mission redux.
  • Minor access to a small budget fortify tool would be brilliant to see placed.
  • CTAB Crash.

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

First Sergeant Summerfield.P - Crew Chief

Non-Cav Personnel Within Element:

N/A

Pros:
  • Great final exfil, the hectic environment was very engaging and exciting. It was fun to rush dropping troops off at the ship then immediately lifting to finish the extract (slow is smooth, smooth is fast).
  • 1SG Summerfield was a great crew chief and we had good intra/inter aircraft communication.
  • Constant tasking gave a sense of intensity and urgency to the whole op.
Cons:
  • The aircraft carrier's proximity to shore was unrealistic
  • Buffalo-3 spent too much time waiting at the LZ; better communication between air assets and ground troops may help ensure helos don't spend too much time on the ground.
