Pros:

  • Very fun mission
  • Airspace was locked down for most of the operation, quick response to red air
  • Quick and effective CSAR which was essential to mission success

Cons:
  • Issue with IP spacing to target, resolved for next time
  • Need to establish hard decks/ceilings for all air assets to prevent potential mishaps
  • USAF broken with being able to eject from aircraft upon missile impact

Pros:
  • Good comms, good mission overall.
Cons:
  • Infidel was tasked with working AG comms for resup and LZs, which isn't the FAC's role, but should be done by "5".

Pro:
Good Comms between Atlas and 7
Good amount of treatment done
Pace of Operation allowed for a steady amount of casulties.

Con:
Troopers Including a SL Leaving CCP or a medic once woken up before being fully treated once waking up from Uncon.
PM did not have Perms to do IV's
Possible Acre issues reulted in 6 was not able to hear 7 at times on the LR Range net
Echoing of ongoing treatment to troopers. Helps allow the uncon trooper be happy knowing that they was being treated and not forgotten.
Little - no response asking SL's for injuries within sections.
Medical calls were not being sent to 7 either on radio or Ctab
Surgery practice is needed with correct medication.
Self Aid from troopers was very poor while not making SL's aware of needing routine treatment.

Pros:
  • First and foremost, I was blessed with an outstanding crew that was absolutely wonderful
  • Good mission which was enjoyed by all the aviation guys
  • Hammer 1!
  • Good comms all around
  • Despite 3 airframes going down, no casualties
  • CSAR and hoist extract while enemy Frogfoot was within visual range, with zero friendly jets available to assist, I think deserves a shoutout.
  • Close formation final extraction, with Hammer laying hate in front of us, was reminiscent of an action movie. Super cool.
Cons:
  • Infidel was also tasked with resupply / LZ markings which isn't their role
    • Breakdown of job responsibilities can be found here
  • Not a con per say, but a reminder from the basic flight eval of the importance doing a pre-flight check. Due to camera issues with another game recognizing my joystick input, I had to unplug my flight stick. Took me a second to source that out which put us behind on infil.

Pro:
Great OP
Excellent squad
Good comms

Con:
Platoon movements seemed slightly disorganized
Platoon react to IDF was hectic
Troopers communicated their frustration that medics were not communicating whether they were under treatment resulting in some leaving care prematurely.

Pros:
  • Great mission within great campaign. Great job mission maker and leadership. Tons of fun.
  • Really challenging and fruitful hoist/hook CSAR. Well, 1x PAX rescue was accomplished but hoist broke after that due to what is believed to be the hoist hitting or getting entangled in trees, with downed aircrew member attached to the hook apparently getting stuck in said tree. This was quite challenging/difficult due to the nature/conditions of the PZ: Confined/tight area, at night, in rain, with terrain obstacles/wreckage, dense forest lining the PZ, helo drift, etc. Despite the hoist breakage, BUFFALO-1 Aircrew continued the CSAR and communicated with the downed aircrew and managed/coordinated a suitable LZ apx. 200m away, where CSAR was completed. Ultimately the success of this hoist/hook employment is not just measured by it's effectiveness, it was also a great operational learning lesson on the mechanics/functionality of the Hatchet H-60 hoist/hook system.
  • Excellent CC work by @Alexander .
  • Exfil at ENDEX utilized and accomplished.

Cons:
  • Going forward, INFIDEL units should not be utilized for transportation or logistics. I know we have used this in "pinch" situations before, but it almost always results in INFIDEL task saturation and cluttered comms and difficulty with deconfliction. Simply put, INFIDEL is for CAS, not for overall aviation choreography of LZs/DZs/PZs/flight planning/transportation/logistics etc. As previously stated, link to the breakdown of INFIDEL role responsibilities can be found here.
  • Alpha Co. rotary assets/personnel need to place more emphasis on formal In-Game briefings as we have in the past, before scattering. Recommend, in the future, we get the birds to a "ready status" (pre-start/ignition) and then form up for in-game brief.
