Pro's
  • Loved the amphibous assault
  • good movement through the OBJs
  • Good on Infidel and raider for taking out a lot of targets

Cons
  • Bit of a big scale for an operation
  • Felt like more time was spent in AAV's than on the ground

Pros:
  • Good operation overall
  • Hardly any downtime -- Infidel kept us busy
  • Great comms between Gunner + Pilot
  • Good comms with Infidel and Bison
  • Excellent CSAR efforts from Atlas + Bison following multiple instances of Raider being shot down
Cons:
  • Last minute re-slotting at start caused slow start for aviation
  • Pilot default fits were empty and missing a lot of gear such as earplugs and ENVG

Element Callsign: ATLAS-2
Element Leader: Specialist Sam.T

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Sergeant Maco.D
Specialist Sam.T
Specialist Winters.R

Pros:
  • Super fun OP; the amphibious concept is always fun to work with. And mixing up the BLUEFORtheme to something different was a nice change.
  • Got to do some CSAR work with our vehicle. Always nice to practice and something we don't see enough of!
  • Super fun hanging out with everyone, as always!

Cons:

  • Communication between Platoon, Platoon Medic, and Atlas teams could have been better. Lots of belayed orders, plan changes, and instructions seemingly did not consider team positioning.
  • One two-man team got left behind at the very beginning due to one vehicle not being used and not being effectively communicated until after departure.
  • Communication during CSAR could have been better. During the second instance and dispatching of our team, we were seconds from arriving at the crash scene just to see Buffalo pick up the crew. Communication is vital, and situations like this have been experienced before during WfW.
Overall super fun OP, just wished for some more casualties and some better communication.

Pro:
  • Inter-fireteam coms were good
  • Liked the Airfield, Mid-later game was good

Con:
  • Stopping the front Car in an ambush,
  • Coms were trash early on, got better as the operation
  • The first objective did not go well generally
  • Too long in the LTVs

Pros:
  • Fun operation concept
  • I really enjoyed working with Teach and Robinson did a great job attaching to Gun-2 with clean ACE reports
  • Gun-7 did great with what they were given

Cons:

  • Lost one medic in the beginning of the operation due to a BattleEye kick which meant one of my medics was stuck without a battle buddy for more than half the OP
  • Radio communication could've been better and a bit more to the point

Pro's
  • Show of force and inter squad teamwork and movement was fantastic
  • Radio work between squads was clear and precise

Cons
  • Having the same squad on SBF and blocking felt repetitive and tedious with very few targets to handle
  • The op felt drawn out for a 2 hour hard stop with how far apart objectives were

Corporal Ewing.R
Specialist Sam.T
Pros:
  • Loved the amphibious landing
  • Enjoyed the OP
  • ATLAS leads were responsive to requests
  • We got to complete all objectives.

Cons:

  • As noted by Specialist Sam.T, the communications between Atlas and Gun-7 were poor. I will assign ATLAS leaders 0% of the blame, myself 40% of the blame, and the general chaos of the platoon movements 60% of the blame; Corporal Ewing.R was far too kind. Some squads were sporadically unresponsive, platoon movements seemed disconnected from leadership, and instructions to Gun-7 were confusing. For me, I will work on brevity and precision in my communications to Atlas; I certainly accept that I could have done a better job.
  • There didn't seem to be enough contact for the Platoon to see a real challenge in completing the objectives. Each objectives was taken quickly and easily. The downstream effect of this was that Atlas had almost no work which, by itself, is not necessarily a bad thing but I think it reflected a lack of meaningful resistance by the AI.
  • It would have been nice to have a sustainment team to pick up troopers from crashed helicopters, or "CSAR" as I am told, on good authority, that it is called.
