Element Leader: Specialist Winters.R

7th Cavalry Personnel Involved in Action:
Captain Burton.P

Pros:
  • Fun Operation
  • Lots of medical
  • Low black casualties
Cons:
  • Near mass causality event on hasty CCP due to previous medical call. CCP was engaged by 40mm grenade barrage causing red causalities
  • GUNSLINGER-7 disconnect made communication more difficult

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Pros:
  • Good communication between Infidel and air assets
  • No blue-on-blues
  • Air assets advised when target grid seemed to be near friendlies or civilian structures -- always important to see pilots being critical in evaluating strike orders instead of executing blindly
  • Good comms between 5/6 and infidel
  • Not too much useless chatter on platoon net which is a nice change
  • Good balance of armour/targets spawning to keep assets busy
Cons:
  • Little bit slow at first in terms of time between when strike order given and when ordnance reached targets, but got a lot faster as the mission progressed -- this comes naturally with experience
  • Aircraft rearing system takes too long currently -- ~30 seconds per pylon, lot of downtime
  • I didn't get enough action for Buffalo because I didn't realize they were on CAS standby a lot of the time.

Element members:

Pros:

  • Good communication throughout the mission and good calls for fire.
  • Quality teamwork within the flight.
  • Good precision work on the weapons systems, and good ISTAR provided to the ground elements.
Cons:

  • Repair/refuel/rearm times. It takes a while to complete each action and they must be done separately.
  • Slow target acquisition at the start of the mission, got better as the pace picked up.

Pros:

  • Overall excellent OP.
  • Lots of action for Atlas teams, especially towards the latter half of the fight.
  • No deaths or serious injuries within the Atlas teams.
  • Having medical vehicles is phenomenal! It makes the teams incredibly flexible and increases the range we can respond to calls within and enables us to carry extra medical supplies. Love to see us heading out with Viking with a Vic of our own, and being able to react to calls at a range we normally wouldn't be able to.
  • No medical negligence induced black tags, despite the intense volume of casualties at times.

Cons:

  • Random players hopping into medical vehicles. This ended up not creating an issue thanks to it being so early in the OP but could create issues during high casualty events.
  • Communications got strenuous upon losing Gunslinger-7, which is to be expected when transitioning both Atlas teams into the platoon net and having to pick up information as it is passed between Gun and Viking teams.
  • Did have several disconnects during treatment, unsure of the cause.
  • Teams were slow bringing casualties back from mas-cas incidents. Bringing casualties away from the point of danger is critical, and something that should always be doubled down on when responding to calls at the front lines.
  • At one point the team lead did roll too close to the Viking team, leading to a situation where a trooper was injured by the Atlas vehicle as we reacted to fire and movement.

Overall amazing OP. It definitely highlighted the importance of communication during operations like these.
