Pros:

  • Great OP, amazing demonstration of assets. Convoy OP's are always fun, and having a vehicle makes reaction time and potential flexibility much better.
  • Lots of new learning opportunities for newer troopers.
  • Intra-team comms were excellent.

Cons:

  • Medical volume was a little low for Atlas-2, but this largely came down to the effectiveness of the Gunslinger teams and the nature of the defensive OP.
  • Inter-squad comms via Gunslinger-7 were very lackluster, but this came almost entirely down to inexperience in the role.

Overall amazing OP, a great demonstration of combined arms operations. We had several people in positions they hadn't done prior, so the chance for education was amazing, but the teething issues that come with that were there.

Pros:
  • We got some really good secondary objectives that had a great foundation in the primary Objective and intent.
  • Very patient squad.
  • Had a good initial briefing, but probably didn't need the second one.
    • Could probably have used the long drive for a FRAGO to cut down time of deployment.
  • Smooth flow from command to execution.
  • Very potent use of the Banshee elements on cordons.
    • Some troopers were complaining over "too powerful" Banshees, but I think the Gunslinger elements did a thorough job of keeping the IFVs protected from all the flanks.
  • Exfil with Vehicles at mission accomplished.

Cons:
  • Very slow replies on the border of being ignored on 08. Difficulties reaching both 5, 6, and 7.
  • Micromanaging of the convoy caused a slower start than needed.
    • We missed a few callouts, but for the most part, it was alright.
    • Very solid fire suppression by the banshees as we rolled through
  • Throughout the OP people felt bored and lost vigilance. Maybe a second Zeus could solve this by creating multiple side objectives at once?

Pros:

  • Comms were clean and clear with little issues outside of some confusion from 7.
  • Units moved well both in a convoy and in a MOUT environment.

Cons:
  • With the issues 7 was having with radios getting atlas to where they were needed was difficult at times, requiring us to fall back on CCPs often.
  • Security was poor at times with many contacts slipping into our blind spots and dealing damage to personnel.
