Pros:
  • Great amount of contact considering our numbers
  • A key part of platoon engagement throughout
  • The standard of what WFW should look like
  • No black casualties

Cons:
  • Crash on initial landing under fire
  • Individual movement could be better

Element Callsign: Buffalo-2

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Lieutenant Colonel LaCombe.M
Second Lieutenant Derry.B
First Sergeant Summerfield.P

Pros:
  • Good amount of flight time for each of the Buffalo crews.
  • Great crew communication internally and between the two Buffalo crews.
  • Fantastic opportunity for formation flying after the first insertion.
  • All LZs were well marked by Infidel and good calls for insertion and pickup.
  • Absolutely great operation and all crew members commented on how fun the op was.
Cons:
  • Buffalo-2 found themselves in a Vortex Ring State (VRS) on the first landing into the LZ which caused a low-altitude crash.
  • The briefing caused confusion due to Bison-1 being an available option but then was switched to Buffalo-2 after the mission had begun.

Pros:
  • Great Comms between Hog-1 and Buffalo Flight.
  • Good use of Air Assets.
  • Buffalo flight ultimate professionals, route planning superb, ID'ing best fit PZ's and LZ's we needed at the moment was phenomenal.
  • Hog-1, super good flow with him. We've done it enough by now it seems natural.

Cons:
  • Not a con, but a suggestion. I recommend everyone in the official element lead AAR should be involved with the operational planning or at least present. I understand the "too many cooks in the kitchen," but everyone doesn't need to pipe in. The support assets definitely need to provide input and guidance. That way we take out about 5-10 mikes of doing that on the ground in server and can focus on our tasks to get up and running.

Element Callsign: Atlas-2
Element Leader: Private First Class Sam.T

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Sergeant Terp.J
Corporal Velasquez.J
Private First Class Sam.T

Pros:

  • Good inter-team communication as well as intra-team with Gun-7.
  • Infiltration was solid, and defending the landing zone was a cool change of pace.
  • Mass-Cas event caused by enemy IDF. No friendly black tags during this event.
  • Solid amount of action due to proximity with infantry.

Cons:

  • Exfil was hectic, yellow casualties were left untreated due to rapid exfil of Atlas teams.
  • Briefing felt indecisive and rushed. Atlas infiltration plans changed frequently before settling on a plan.
  • Some kit issues were had in our team. In future we will spend a few extra moments where possible ensuring we have everything we need when running a new kit style.
  • IDF Induced mass-cas claimed the initial batch of hostages that were secured.

Pros:

Good comms between team members and Gun-7
No black tags
Team enjoyed the change of pace with Atlas-1 being part of LZ securing force
Solid amount of work and great reactions to friendly casualties

Cons:

Briefing felt rushed
Team was split which led to team member almost dying as they were alone until found by Gun-7
Hostages brought outside and killed by IDF
Pace of exfil was a bit too quick which led to yellows and a red almost getting left behind.

Pros:
  • Definitely one of the BEST, most FUN Warfare Wednesdays I've ever played.
  • Lots of rotary "stick time" and aviation utilization.
  • Extremely fun and advantageous to have a fully crewed bird. My crew wasn't just highly competent, they were OUTSTANDING in all respects. If I could have any crew for any mission, it would be either this crew or a clone of them. Total pros and total teamwork. Crew Resource Management (CRM) was perfect. Great job guys!
  • Infidel was fantastic as always, bringing next level control, coordination and comms. Well done is an understatement.
  • Exfil at Endex always a huge plus for fun and realism.
  • I agree with Phillips.B, to me this was the Gold Standard of what Warfare Wednesday should be like.
  • Really appreciate troopers quickly heeding instructions to "clear comms" as it is a great help to deconflict comms overload.

Cons:
  • Bison/Buffalo slots were confusing. Bison should be listed in the slot screen as an attack asset, because it is a Deep Action Penetrator (DAP). We overcame this confusion, however, it would be nice if it were listed properly. BUFFALO= Transport. BISON= Attack.
  • Would have been nice to have a more comprehensive and detailed briefing and OPORD.
  • VERY unfortunate initial insert crash when Buffalo-2 approached LZ incorrectly and ended up getting into inadvertent Vortex Ring State (VRS). This happened while he was too close to the ground and did not have sufficient reactionary time or distance to recover, resulting in a crash with injuries.
  • ALWAYS REPAIR DAMAGE to the bird prior to accepting next tasking. We unwisely skipped repair due to seemingly urgent request and ended getting shot like 1 time and ended up losing engines and going down. All because we didn't repair damage. As Pilot in Command (PC), I take responsibility/ownership for that error.
Note: Pilots/Crew will always prefer the Hatchet H-60 over the RHS model, so they should be the ones placed.
