Pros:
  • Mission accomplished, lasted 2 hours in defense against superior enemy force
  • Great communication between the 2 squads, especially coordination w/ mortar team
  • Aviation assets did a great job killing the enemy and supporting friendly infantry
  • Medical teams did a great job supporting friendly infantry
  • Really fun 1 life mission

Cons:
  • Lots of casualties
  • Enemy MBT wouldn't die at the end and ended up killing like 6+ people on S flank
  • Accidental friendly fire to kill said enemy MBT
  • Could use more SITREP's from SL's to PL to help develop battlefield landscape

Element Callsign: Infidel-2
Element Leader: Staff Sergeant Knights.Z

Pro:

  • Was fun organising all the air assets
  • Assisted in locking down a majority of the enemy armour incoming
Con:
  • Operation was too fast paced to use 5 lines
  • Continuous ACRE issues

Pros:
  • Lots of stuff for aviation to engage
  • Scenario seemed to flow nicely with enemy closing in on HQ as the OP went on which towards the end gave fixed wing a feeling of a broken arrow call
  • A-10 is a blast to get back into and should be used more in operations going forward
Cons:
  • Enemy MBT pushed main HQ and took multiple rockets from ground forces without going down which lead to a blue on blue with a A/G rocket run
  • ACRE however the new reset comms script seemed to work when those affected used it
  • HEMTTs at the start were the incorrect type and didn't allow for proper arming of the airframes

Posting on behalf of squad leader. These opinions are my own.

Element Callsign: Misfit-3 (Folded in under Misfit-5)
Element Leader: Corporal Stefano Mariani

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Staff Sergeant Anthony Preacher

Pros:
  • Concise callouts and proper communication allowed mortar rounds to go out in average of 15 seconds or less
  • Was heavily involved throughout the defense with at least 37 confirmed kills.
  • For the skill and knowledge level of both troopers, we were able to effectively use the mortar system thanks to Gann.
  • Absolutely loved the scenario and hope we run this again, either in the same capacity or something similar
Cons:
  • Unable to fire within 100m made us ineffective toward the end
Overall really enjoyed this operation. Thankfully the tube did not overheat or we would have gone through at least 7 of them. We did go through about 30 boxes of rounds at the minimum (6 mortars each box). Preplanned objectives to hit really helped facilitate quicker fire missions and a big help from Gann to teach me how to use the system effectively coming from not ever using it before.

Element Callsign: Infidel-1
Element Leader: Captain Hobbs.T

Pro:

  • Great comms from air (when ACRE was working)
  • Great buddy bounding and teamwork with Infidel-2
Con:
  • Continuous ACRE issues
  • All calls for fire where very messy, not able to use IPs due to how cluttered the map was.
  • Poor FPS
