LDS | Officer Development School | Instructor Openings

The Officer Development School has multiple Instructor openings.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Be in good standing with no active negative actions.
  • Be an officer with the rank no lower than Captain, or
    • Be an officer that has previously held the rank of Captain, or higher, for longer than 6 months
  • No negative actions for the past 12 months
  • Letter of Interest from applicant to Major General Tharen.R, Lieutenant Colonel Robbi.J, & Major Ryan.BF.
  • Prepared to serve in the position for at least 6 months or longer.
Expectations:

  • To assist and lead Officer Development Courses in their administration
  • Assist the Senior and Lead in the grading of all ODS student homework
  • To lead by example, for all other officers

S7 Department | 2IC Opening - closed

The S7 Department has an opening for the S7 2IC position.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be in good standing with no active negative actions.
  • Be at the minimum rank of:
    • Second Lieutenant (O-1) for Officers
    • Chief Warrant Officer 2 (W-2) for Warrant Officers
    • Sergeant (E-5) for Non-Commissioned Officers
  • Letter of Interest from applicant to Brigadier General Yvon Rob, Command Sergeant Major Apollo Nexhex, and Sergeant Major Anthony Preacher
  • Prepared to serve in the position for at least 6 months or longer.
  • Leadership experience within S7 is preferred, but not required.
Expectations:

  • You are to help lead the S7 Department in running the day-to-day operations of the department, the execution of their duties, and the well-being of the department
  • Help maintain departmental accountability: Ensure that minimum expectations are being met by staff, training is being conducted to standard, and that courses are being run on a regular schedule. Work with Lead Instructors who fail to meet minimum standards using the accountability system.
  • Enforce all departmental rules and regulations
  • Help oversee course development with the S7 HQ
  • Help keep the Wiki up to date for the entire department
  • Track and award AFSM's, Outstanding Volunteer Service Medals, and Instructor Badges for the department
  • Perform other duties as required and outlined by the S7 1IC
