ALCON,

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of one of our own, SPC.Peterson.M of 3/1/A/3-7, on February 10th, 2026. On behalf of the entire Regiment, General Staff extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and all those who knew him. He will be honored and remembered by the Cav through our Arlington Memorial Cemetery. Rest in peace, brother!

Please be kind to one another during these difficult times, and come together to celebrate the life of SPC.Peterson.M. Mourning avatars will be worn for 30 days out of respect of the fallen. We will share any further information that we receive.

As of earlier today, we have moved to an automated forum avatar system which means less work for everyone as individuals and leadership having to keep track of appropriate avatar usage on the website. This system will automatically update your avatar when you're promoted, specifically when S1 completes the processing of it, and will also automatically apply the "Recruiter" avatar with relevant rank if you're billeted in an RRD slot. You will not be able to change your avatar with this change, even if it shows you have an option to do so.

Some of you may have noticed the alert on the website earlier as we were ironing out some bugs that had popped up during the implementation period. At this point there shouldn't be any left, however, if you do notice something is incorrect with an avatar please shoot us a ticket so we can follow up and take care of it. We are also still working on other portions of the website as well as our various assets so there will be some more changes to come while we fine tune things or put them back to "normal."
