2/7 Battalion HLL Recruitment Competition
2-7 is proud to announce Back to School battalion wide recruiting drive! Only a few months left until furlough. Let's spend some time recruiting, creating strong bonds and get ready for the holidays!
This drive will have a focus on bringing in new recruits, retaining during their recruiting phase and increasing the popularity of our public servers by being online and full more often.

This competition will be taking place from September 1st until October 1st 2024.
Who can participate?
Who can participate?
All members of the 7th have the ability to participate in the 2-7 recruiting drive. All members of 2-7 will be automatically enrolled into our spreadsheet.
Will there be prizes?

Currently we have the following available for prizes with more TBD
- 5x $20 steam cards
- 2x Boxed WWII Action figures Valued 200+ each
- Unit citation for section that scores the most total points divided by total number of members. To assist sections that range between 5-13 members
- MSM/2x Arcom/2x AA for 1st-5th placement overall points. Additional may be approved with high participation
How do you earn points?
There are three ways through which you are able to earn points:
1. Playing on Tac East or West will earn you 1 point for every hour spent on the server
2. Recruiting new members and having them place you as Recruiter in the enlistment papers will earn you 5 points.
3. For every one of your recruits that who passes Bootcamp you will earn an extra 10 points.

1st Battalion Salutes Its Fallen
1st Battalion's Observation of the 2024 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment Memorial Day
1st Battalion— 24 AUG 2024 — Officers and men of the 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment, celebrated the memory and legacy of its fallen brothers and sisters during their annual observance of the 7th Cavalry Memorial Day held on Saturday, 24 August 2024. The short memorial service was conducted on a customized Memorial Garden map inside the ArmA 3 game engine and allowed players throughout the Regiment to attend via their avatars to pay their respects. The service itself featured a keynote address from Major Joe Highman, Commander of Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, who served as the event emcee as well as a fly-over salute and a rendering of Taps.
A dozen volunteers began the planning process months in advance to ensure that the event was significant, memorable, and appropriate. Representatives from Alpha Company's 2nd Platoon, S3 Operations, and S5 Public Affairs each donated several hours of their time in planning meetings, rehearsals, map designs and edits, speech writing and timing, advertising, and coordination. The process begins almost as soon as the previous year's event concludes.
