Pros:
  • Had fun internally
  • Got to get in some contact and do some CQB work
Cons:
  • Didn't feel a part of the BLUFOR element as a whole, not having markers as a separate platoon really makes it difficult to see where we need to be and where friendlies are. If this can be fixed, it would be greatly appreciated as it is due to the separation of HELIOS from the ground element faction
  • Comms were messy without a dedicated platoon RTO to take comms off of Platoon-5
  • Overall plan felt very convoluted and unnecessarily complicated

Pros:

  • Had fun and a good amount of medical
  • good calls for medical help
Cons:
  • got lost when sent to the down Blackhawk, would be nice to have gps back from arma 3 for certain personal during ops
  • being by myself was hard trying to do comms, navigate, and do the medical was a little much
  • i was late because parents came to visit and forgot which night it was
  • ambulance glitched out and broke in the military base levie, had to have GM spawn a new one to fix it
  • ambulance trying to follow unit through woods is not easy, dont know if we can find a way around this

Recruit Cormack.G

Pros:
  1. Really solid op with a good mix of milsim and action.
  2. Beautiful coordination on the Banshee net.
  3. Achieved bounding to cover Platoon movement.
  4. New Recruit joined up and had a blast. Ran over a bad guy.
  5. Lots of good maneuvers and support to Viking.
  6. Convoy did not take any wrong turns.
Cons:
  1. 5 had to hop out and run with the infantry due to some technical issues 6 had, lowering the effectiveness of Banshee-4.
  2. 2 VC (me) failed to effectively communicate damage that made us ineffective leading to the loss of Banshee-4 to a K17.
  3. Made a bad call trying to regroup 3 with the main effort which also led to them getting killed and the loss of another BFV.

Element Callsign: Banshee 3
Element Leader: Captain Rodahl.S

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Corporal Flint.J
Specialist Fryer.T

Pros:

  • Great communication within the vehicle platoon.
  • Fantastic movement during the OP. Incredible showcase of the Bradley potential.
  • Expert strategic command from Banshee-2 after picking up after Viking 5 had to step up into an infantry commanding role.
  • Flexible manoeuvre by Helios to extend the security of Banshee 3 during the Leaders Recon Phase.
  • High tempo with movements interchanging all the flanks.
Cons:
These cons are very nitpicky!
  • Viking 5 ended up in a commanding role of the infantry, leading to a link missing between the Bradleys and the infantry.
    • It is acknowledged that this was a necessity.
  • Contact levels were way beyond what was reported.
    • Ammendably, it was mostly from QRF, and the strength within the AO maintained balance.

Pros:
  • Troopers did well at "finding work" every time in contact.
  • Good movement as a squad.
  • Good CQB.
  • Good communication with fireteams.
  • Although communications got jumbled with higher at times the mission kept moving forward.
  • Viking 1 powered through multiple mass casualty events ultimately completing the mission.
Cons:
  • Blue on Blue occur due to failed communication between Viking 1 &3
  • DCs/bugs
  • Not having the markers on the map to track units was challenging for coordinating movement. SL needs to improve to not rely on the markers.
  • With the mass casualty events leadership went down a couple times make organization of the squad stalled and confused.

Pros:
  • Good flight time.
  • Good LZs and clear and precise comms.
  • Got to practice SERE.
Cons:
  • Need more comms from ground units in order to clarify cleared positions and LZ security status.
  • Recommend Raven airframe for increased speed and smaller size.

Specialist Nance.T
Specialist Miller.JH
Private First Class Young.M
Specialist Giordano.C
Second Lieutenant Corbin.R
Corporal Mack.A
Corporal Marcus.J
Private First Class Adams.T
Specialist Clegg.M

PROS:
  • Good fireteam initiative
  • Took both objectives - mission accomplished
  • 3-Alpha team under Wiseman acted to save downed buffalo
  • Good 7 platoon medic actions and availability
  • Good team comms incl. echoing orders, 3ds, lacereps, building clearance status
  • Good team succession of command during DCs and blacktags/redtrags of leadership
CONS:
  • Bad platoon level coordination / leadership felt weak and scattered. If RTO was required, PL should have drafted someone. If PSG needed to be in Bradley's per SOP, they should have stayed there.
  • Bad map markers / bluefor situational awareness led to slow progress and lots of unnecessary radio traffic. If Platoon HQ is responsible for map markers and BLUEFOR mapping, they need to do that. If they need to delegate it to SLs, they need to call that delegation.
  • Bad platoon channel radio comms. See RTO note. Perhaps that role also is responsible for helping to direct that Net.
  • Bad assault lanes / infantry coordination in OBJ 1 led to blue-on-blue. We rushed assaulting that objective and we might as well have waited and made a good plan (per BAT vision directive). The eny wasn't going anywhere. We also would have been wise to soften OBJ1 with CAS.

Specialist Reddick.A

Pros:
  • Fun solid operation
  • Good momentum

Cons:
  • Viking 6 was having technical difficulties, so he had to lead the infantry part of the platoon, that made Banshee - 2 had to take over the leadership and that cut us off from infantry at times.
  • Fire into enemy amour until they start to burn or they will jump in the vehicle again and kill other unsuspecting allies.
