Pros:
Great communication with other Air Elements
Fluid Communication with Chaos
Op was Target rich and fun for Air.
Inexperienced Gunner did Good.

Cons:
Server lag!
Lack of Thermals and Visibility.
One Blue on Blue
Improperly Prosecuted a 5 Line target before clearance (Wasn't the BoB)
Enemies in friendly territory with manpads, over 15 shot at raider in 3 minutes.
AAA platforms being spawned in near assets after area was just striked.

Notes: Could of been in more close-nit comms with Sparrow to avoid Multiple Red Air Ambushes and increase situational awareness
Despite all the Cons Op was Very fun and Raider had a Good time.

Pros:
  • Had a lot of fun out there.
  • Inner battalion communication was good, calls were quick and precise.
  • I personally had a blast with the 1-7 boys tonight!
Cons:
  • Some communication from one squad to another was hectic on command comms. We would get a call for a mass casualty event and then, when we asked where to go, no answer would be relayed to us and we would find out 5 minutes later.
  • More comms between myself (7-2) and 7 would've been needed as I found out that he was down and no one relayed anything to me.

Pros:
  • Lots of good work within the teams keeping the fire going when in contact
  • Good work done by the team leaders in keeping their guys on target and resupplied
  • Internal comms were great
  • Overall the squad members enjoyed themselves
Cons:
  • Lack of operational plan left us without critical equipment
  • Went way over time, lost manpower and some people could not participate in the AAR because of it
  • Lots of contact and ambushes in areas that were supposed to be cleared notionally as part of the map. This keeps happening with FF and resulted in black tags across multiple squads
  • People constantly crossing 240s and 249s line of fire
  • Unaccounted for public players were firing recklessly and endangered friendly forces multiple times

Pros:
  1. Very good organization and comms for a quick FRAGO event.
  2. Very engaging with consistent enemy contacts and threats of both infantry and armored elements.
  3. Banshee reacted quickly and engaged with armored enemy after communications.
  4. Gunslinger elements all bounded and communicated clearly when pushing objectives providing support and overwatch.
  5. Even as a spear element I never felt we were without support, any support requests were acknowledged and executed quickly.

Cons:
  1. Loss of leadership personnel in the middle of event created difficulties. I should have been more clear on 2nd and 3rd levels of command.
  2. I should have a little more patience and more trust in TL's to execute. Minimize micromanagement within teams and focus on the squad.
  3. Decent amount of fratricide from multiple elements. Need to reinforce PID and training on this.
  4. I allowed Teams to get a little too separated at times which impacts my C2 capabilities.

Notes: Very enjoyable evening had by all, and I think good learning opportunity for me and others.

Pros:
  • Raider is always fun to employ. The firepower it brings is second to only fixed wing (PLEASE GIB A-10).
  • Raven and Sparrow being able to coordinate directly with Gun6Romeo was ideal for me, as it frees me up to focus on CAS, which is always priority number 1. I would like to dive into this more, with some planning occurring for de-confliction, primary and secondary net usage, and overall employment, but that can be something that is worked out when/if this setup is used again.
  • The one strike where an enemy IFV was suppressing friendlies, and they didn't have the AT to take it out, and we were able strike it with Raider was AWESOME, and never gets old.

Cons:
  • Definitely a bit unprepared as far as the ground plan goes. I was not aware what we were doing, what the assets were, how the element was going to move, etc. This makes it difficult for me to employ Raider in an effective way, as I cannot stage them or pre-plan strikes before contact.
  • One strange incident of Blu-On-Blu, but upon review, not much could be done on that. Ground was trying to deal with the issue, I was unaware they were danger close to it, and Raider doesn't have Thermals to be able to confirm, so not necessarily anyone's fault. This can be resolved if we ever get individual radio channels, per ear, similar to TFAR in ArmA 3, as I'll be able to more effectively monitor multiple nets.
  • Still lacking the tools to effectively do the job. No M203 smoke grenades, no laser designator, IR devices not being able to LASSO, no CTAB, I did get to use the tracers from Banshee to point Raider onto target, which is always cool, but it feels like fighting up-hill backwards with ski's on.

  • Missed turn pushing through contact due to miscommunication.
  • Lost 1x Banshee after being pushed by infantry while heavily damaged and unable to fall back.
