Element Callsign: Gunslinger-6
Element Leader: Colonel Beiter.A

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Staff Sergeant Taylor.C (Gun-5)
Second Lieutenant Corbin.R (Gun-7)
Sergeant Angels.N (Gun-7R)
Private First Class King.MJ (Chaos-1)
Specialist Rossi.C (Chaos-1-2)

Pros:
  • Awesome attendance!
  • Good convoy coms
  • Gotta really learn this map but had a lot of fun!
  • Love seeing dual Apaches in the air for CAS
  • Great teamwork with all elements around!

Cons:

  • I do think the long convoy took way longer than needed, when doing these events, we should be focused on the objectives and pushing a lot of action.
  • Minor issues with terrain and driving hitting random potholes on the road.
  • I really need to retake BLN...

Element Callsign: Raider Flight (Raider-1, Raider-2)

Element Leader:
Raider-1: Chief Warrant Officer 3 Peterson.L
Raider-2: PFC.Lawrie.A [DISCH]

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Chief Warrant Officer 3 Peterson.L
Sergeant Bishop.B
PFC.Lawrie.A [DISCH]
Panda

Pros
  • Raider flight had a great time working together and with Chaos elements. Always a pleasure working with our controllers and shoutout to Lawrie and Panda for providing great CAS while hanging in there with the 5-line calls from our experienced controllers and not becoming overwhelmed. Excellent job on all parts.
  • Communication between flight and with controllers was on point.
  • Flight destroyed 1x UAZ-469, 1x K-4386 Typhoon-VDV, 2x K17 Berezok, 3x ZSU-23-4M3 Shulka, numerous enemy emplacements, and more than a platoon's worth of infantry with zero friendly fire incidents or civilian casualties.
  • On two occasions Raider-1 was heavily damaged by an enemy mobile-AA vehicle and managed to recover, reposition, and immediately re-attack and destroy the targets before they could shoot down other friendly aircraft. On one such occasion the Gunner being wounded and knocked unconscious was able to rapidly regain consciousness and immediately reattack vehicle as it turned its guns onto Raider-2. During this the aircraft caught fire, and an emergency landing was successfully made by Raider-1 PIC and the fire extinguished. The aircraft crippled but still functional was then flown back to base.
  • Raider-2 managed to engage and destroy an enemy K-4386 Typhoon-VDV at night that had managed to flank friendly forces and maneuver within 100m of a Banshee. Seeing this and with the Banshee in danger of being destroyed, Raider-2 swiftly deployed a single Hellfire with precision accuracy destroying the vehicle as it began to fire on the friendly forces.
  • The mid-flight nap when uncon was actually kind of nice.

Cons
  • My mid-flight nap was involuntary :(
  • Night time is extremely difficult for CAS aircraft gunners without IR. Even with Nods provided it is exceedingly difficult to locate and target the enemy. Once again props to Raider-2 for the excellent Hellfire shot on the enemy Typhoon.
  • Unauthorized aircraft entering ROZ causing conflictions and forcing Raider-2 to have to wave off an attack run.
  • Rambo crossing the river alone South of objective California and directly into our attack runs on entrenched enemies. Raider-1 managed to PID and wave off before absolutely ruining their day. The Russians did that shortly after.

Pros
  • Props to our public players for the willingness to step up and get some experience as Raven flight lead prior to Cav members joining.
  • Comms were good between the two birds.
  • Op was fun.
  • Raven / Raider target coordination.

Cons
  • Comms brevity.
  • Random Raven that had no comms and continued flying into the AO / getting shot down.

Pros:
  • Lots to do in the first half
  • Able to get some mortars down range and impact the assault
  • Got attacked at the FOB and had some defensive work to do
  • Lots of people in the element meant we had a lot more flexibility than usual

Cons:
  • Gonna keep sounding like a broken record, we really can't have operations where a ton of people come out and not have better planning structures. It makes convoys more difficult, it makes dismounted movement more difficult, makes us act like a blob rather than a team. We need guys in key leadership positions to work the show, and its gonna start hurting us as we try to make these things more complex.

Pros:
  • A lot of contact
  • Adequate squad comms considering detachments to other squad
  • Great suppression of the first OBJ
Cons:
  • Need better structure for operations (controlled environments), OPORD, and a little more involvement from pub-staff.
  • Fireteam leaders left a little to be desired in terms of intersquad communications.
  • Blue on blue :(
