7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Specialist Hudson.B (Raider-1 PIC)
First Sergeant Summerfield.P (Gunner, Second Half)
Specialist Cade.B (Gunner, First Half)
Chief Warrant Officer 3 Peterson.L (Raider-2 PIC)
Colonel Beiter.A (Gunner)

Pros:
  • Very fun mission, very engaging and a cool story.
  • Felt plenty tasked as Raider-1, Raider-2 was also steadily busy.
  • Shot down a lot of infantry and a couple helicopters.
  • Cool mission story of assaulting a submarine base.
Cons:
  • Seemed a little disorganized at first but this wasn't a problem.
  • Lack of objective/mission in post, choppy relay of mission for brief.,
  • A LOT of enemy air in this one, I don't think russians would willingly throw 3-4 little birds against 2 apaches and a chinook especially considerring they still held their OBJ, would realistically have iglas for BLUFOR air resistance and utilize mortars for BLUFOR ground resistance on top of OPFOR infantry.

Pros:
  • Everyone in the squad had a good time
  • Squad did a great job breaking contact when platoon was pinned down after landing
  • Fireteams were very responsive to command
  • Squad did an excellent job clearing trench line on rim of the objective
  • Got to blow up the submarine

Cons:
  • Squad got split up at one point after trooper went alone to take out an APC
  • Need a better way to have troopers swap kits at MOB
  • Fireteams could do a better job of working together

Pros:

  • Objectives enhanced by the Mission Controllers were fun and challenging.
  • Gunslinger platoon was, able to execute their objective.
  • BROKEN ARROW, We were able to execute a platoon level break contact and reinforce.
  • We were able to expeditiously step off from OP start at 1810z.
Cons:
  • Poor Initial Staging procedure, My fault ill need to allow players more space to avoid to much talking.
  • Poor POST LZ planning, something I will have to account for.

Pros:

  • Excellent Fireteam cohesion
  • Excellent FTL Leadership
  • Excellent FTL initiative in succession of command
  • Excellent contact calls with three D's

Cons:

  • I failed to brief in the troopers after I received the mission briefing. I need to be sure to do that no matter how short the task or how busy the prep. Key task that I missed.
  • Server squad limits made getting GUN-1 established high friction. Would have been great if admins could set up a template according to the OPORD with appropriate squads per-designated.
  • Troopers bunched up frequently. 10m spacing should be minimum unless in CQB
  • Report that a trooper opened a door before the FTL called breach and as a result there were black tags. Important to keep discipline behind FTL at all times.
  • A public player that joined late was very disoriented in terms of how to find us from MOB. However, all cav troopers he found were helpful and welcomed him into their elements. So a wash. However, it is a reminder that the learning curve for a pub player in our ops is high.

Pros:

  • Excellent communication between medics and infantry squads
  • Had a good time running back and forth at the rear of the fight saving live
  • Everyone we made it to was put back in the fight
  • Had to make tough decisions on who to save first and if they could be saved

Cons:

  • No ambulance provided till the last obj that only 1 squad went to so medics were limited to basic CLS
  • The end was very messy with some people doing hot wash while others still continued.
  • Being killed at MOB by a zeus member for apparently no reason
  • Having zeus spawn in right behind me to beat me to death

Pros:

  • I feel that this was a stellar example of what FF is intended to be: Someone volunteers to lead, herds cats, S3 Pub presents an OBJ, we plan initial contact and FRAGO from there....and it worked well.
  • Hats off to Taylor.C for taking up the reins for this one.
  • Hooray for Grizzly's return! Hearing 35 people all packed into a 20m tube with a big ass blender on either end was much welcomed chicanery!
  • Some great stuff from -7 and from Grizzly flight. Sorry for the "tight" LZs I will take size into consideration more when picking them.
Cons:
  • Contact level was....a bit much.
  • Red Air seems....forced? I get it...it is good to have a red air threat but I would have had at least 1 MANPAD in the PLT if expecting the threat.
  • Ammo conservation/Fire rates are just not being employed. I got called for resupply (with no Helios to facilitate) like....7 mins after first contact. Let's bump those M4s down to single fire (you will be more accurate) and work on MG/SAW fire rates.

Pros:

  • Excellent communication between FTLs & SL
  • Proper use of succession of command
  • Good use of troop movement techniques
  • A lot of action, we were engaged in a firefight almost the whole time, with a couple of lulls that allowed for regrouping. Perfect balance.
  • Recerts were the best I've ever seen. Bird was ready every time and fast.
  • Gun 7 was on it.

Cons:
  • Back on MOB at the end, things got chaotic where some wanted to be done and others wanted to stay. Our element was ordered to assault an underground silo. Mission was a blast and we all had fun, but the unorganization and arguing was not the way to end an awesome FF.

Pros:

  • Testing of the new Chinook Mod, we tested the capabilities by inserting the entire platoon all at once instead of making two trips
  • The Block II has 4 guns plus a jump seat, so there is plenty of crew space availability
  • Inserts went well
  • Comms with Gunslinger - 5 were excellent
  • I got to watch as Raider 2 engaged and destroyed two helicopters while Raider 1 was tied up
  • Resupply was put into the aircraft by the crew really quickly and it gave us that capability later
  • Extracting the entire platoon all in one go was really cool as well
Cons:
  • The chinook mod was added to the Tac Realism server about 2 hours (give or take) ahead of the mission and thusly, there was limited practice or training available for me as the pilot, and had to rely on leftover piloting skill rather than the experience of previous use.
  • Comments made by passengers inside the helicopter should be limited. Comments about landings or evasive maneuvers are in bad taste and can have the unintended side effect of dividing the attention of the crew while in critical phases of flight
