Attention Troopers,

The 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment and DEVCOM are proud to officially announce the launch of Gray Zone Warfare (GZW) operations as of this post!

After weeks of planning, preparation, gathering interest and with the permission of GOA Kleinman, we are now moving forward with establishing an Area of Operation in GZW.

What is Gray Zone Warfare?
GZW is a hardcore tactical First Person Shooter (FPS) that emphasizes communication, realism, and squad-based coordination. It is intensely suited to the style of play and communications that are commonplace among existing and historical 7Cav Areas of Operation. The game offers tight small-unit tactics but can easily be up to a small platoon in-action attacking an objective from multiple angles simultaneously.

We excel at MILSIM, and this survival / extraction game demands a lot.
It requires land navigation, food, water, marksmanship, medical care - the whole range of Infantry on-foot proficiencies.
We're excited to see where this venture takes us.

Which faction?
We'll be playing CSI - Crimson Shield Initiative.
If you are playing on a separete Faction you may need to wipe to join.

Our Launch Phase Includes:
  • Priority 1: An intense focus on Recruitment.
    • The terms of the Starter Platoon launch are:
      • Recruit to 15-players by the end of Month 1 from the date of first assignments.
      • Extensions are available to this deadline if the team meet 40% and 80% of this target.
    • We'll need everyone's help to build a strong influence in the game, on Discord, on Reddit and in-game.
    • Please help us when you can. Showcase our brotherhood and your MILSIM experience.
    • Troopers and Enlistees (once Briefed by RTC) will be assigned soon to 1/1/C/ACD, utilising the existing Starter Platoon infrastructure.
      • Note: Any trooper occupying a leadership position (ASL+) will be required to file a PAF Transfer to ensure the Departure Chain of Command have time to find a suitable replacement.
  • Priority 2: Develop an engaging and enduring presence
    • At 10 Players: Developing Training materials and Boot Camps for new players to engage with and set high standards for our MILSIM experience.
    • At 10 Players: Weekly Mission Events (Fireteam Fridays!) and Field Training Exercises (FTXs).
    • At 15 Players: Live Operations and Missions with evolving objectives.
    • At 15 Players: Internal SOP development for command structure, comms, and squad roles.
Next Steps
  • If you're interested but haven't signed up yet:
  • Standby as we develop our boot camp to give new players a great onboarding experience.
  • Watch for further briefings and squad assignments
And finally - a message from 2LT Keif, the DEVCOM Lead assigned to GZW as the AO Authority:
"This is your call to arms. The Gray Zone is unstable, the rules are unwritten, and it's time for us to bring order.
Be ready. Be lethal.
Join the Cav."
