Pros:

Good initiative on SL to work towards my goals as OIC.

Good level of fights with a hard but fair enemy.



Cons:

A need to work on improving overall 360 security, as many squads got attacked in the back, when they got tunnel vision at objectives.

Operation was posted too close to operation date, please post operations with more time, especially longer operations that takes a long time to plan for.

Limited amount of platoon and company staff. Coordination of support element suffered with the lack of staff, that resulted in almost no tasking.

Phase 1 OIC briefing could have used a better focus on what were important to know for the OIC and not a small text of Key terrain.

When running continues operation please call the Key terrain different names over the Phases, as 10 series 20 series 30 series and so on, so for the first phase KT 11, 12, 13 so on and for second phase 21, 22, 23 so on, as its hard to do briefings where you do continues and have to move slide between the phases.

Initial insert could have been better coordinated ahead of start.

Medical team with medical vehicle is needed for all Reforger operations and i strongly recommend that we add it as a SOP.

Better coordination of known and suspected Supply depots is a must for successful operations were supply is being used, i plan to make maps to hand to logistical elements in the future.

The operation tempo got a bit stressed in Phase 1, as we were doing 2 platoons worth of objectives as a 4 squad platoon without a Platoon Sergeant.

Pros: Good movement pace, nobody in the Squad was bored, 7 Cav members stepped up to take FTL positions in the squad for 2 5 man fire teams consisting partly of public players.

Cons: command was chaotic, lack of command staff at platoon level was apparent during the mid/end of operation, logistics were slightly unprepared for the level of advancement which caused unneeded delay in becoming combat effective, after suffering heavy casualties and falling back.

Pros:
-Inter-squad communications were fluent top to bottom, especially when integrating with public players.
-Reaction to contact and contact level on point.
-Big thank you to my FTL Carr and the 7cav gentlemen within our squad assisting myself during my first official SL role during an operation. They always found a job to do without giving a command and stepped into upper roles when needed.

Cons:
-With the integration of Misfit - 4s overflow public squad, it seemed that they took over the majority of Bandit - 3s lanes and tasking through each AOI, causing Bandit - 3 to fly "blind" and constantly relocating to fill in different sectors where we could.
-Would like to have had map markers crossed over into the operations from the brief presentation to allow squads to adjust back into their proper lanes when needed. Especially with knowing command was strung tight given their situation.
-Need to touch up personally on squad movement techniques, specifically spacing and bounding. Myself took our Alpha FT with Bravo FT providing bounding overwatch across an open field in which I overextended, causing us to initiate contact, leaving Bravo out of reach to support.

  • Fun hanging out and shooting the shit with the buffalo crew.
  • Fun event.
Cons
  • Low 7th Cav member presence.
  • Pubs will always be a bit disorganized.
  • Low A2G communication
  • Low utilization for Buffalo
  • After transporting players to the island
